The people in effect are the complainants, they are saying that Spacey assaulted the 18 year old, so there was no consent. The mother was speaking for her son.

What I read from that article sounds so stupid. Sure, supplying an underage person with drinks is wrong (Spacey should have checked), but it sounds like he was just trying to have a good time with someone he believed was 21. I probably would have lied myself if I was 18 to get drinks from Spacey. I used to have a serious crush on him when I was a teenager. He was my daddy figure. And now it turns out that I most likely could have had EXACTLY what I wanted from him at that age! I’m a little pissed that I missed the chance to be Kevin Spacey’s loverboy.

Seems to me that sticking one's hand down someone's trousers when not invited to do so is an intrusion. Comparable to grabby a woman buy her "p..sy", I have not paid a great deal of attention to this Spacey guy (I hadn't heard of him before), but now I have read that he made a lot of predatory move on minors (one is too many). Not a secret at all. I've had under 21 guys asked me for drinks before. I don't know why some people pretend this never happens at all.

Yes I thought the same thing. Mommy certainly is looking for a payday. Not that Spacey is a good guy in this. Also how in the hell is the bar not involved? Serving booze to a underage adult. Of course it happens all the time. I did it and my friends did it. Why isn't the 18 yr old victim taking charge of this legally if they feel they are a victim of a crime.
I learned at 18 or 21, or even 30, as I think every guy straight or gay knows that enters a gay club. Guys get horny and touchy by 11PM or midnight after drinking. Same in a straight bar to a extent for woman with a bunch of drinking going on.
No one ever poured a drink down my throat. Of course after 5 I could have lost count, but I knew that was possible at drink 3. Good point. The only one who did anything illegal was the bartender. The young adult, that lied about his age, was enjoying what was going on, or he would have said no, and left on his own. He probably left when that woman told him because he thought she'd tell his overbearing mother.
