i love kfc, in general i prefer healthy foods but there's something about the near-disgusting, instant heart-attack oilyness and fat-tasticness that keeps me coming back.

i just did a google search to find out more info. about the chicken used in kfc and found some pretty disgusting stuff, don't think i'll be going back for awhile..

Yeah, it's utter crap. Yes, the chickens they use are mutants, but they're still chckens.

American Movie Classics, however, DID change their name to AMC for a similar reason. Which is why they're showing Catwoman.

Maybe it's utter crap about genetically engeneered chickens, but this is not utter crap.

Those massive chicken factories that produce the birds we all have eaten are doing this everyday.

Cornell University was asked by the chicken growers of America to come up with a plan that would do away with two of their major problems.

Problem #1 was the massive piles of chicken shit their factories generated. Anyone living down wind of these piles can testify to how disgusting the smell of chicken shit piled high is. After many protests about the shit piles, the industry wanted some alternative to piling it up. Enter Cornell.
Problem #2 The high cost of feeding thousands of chickens enough food to nourish them to "maturity" via growth hormones. The growers wanted an easier delivery system for both nourishment, and hormones. Enter Cornell.

Cornell's solution combined the problems in this way: If you recycle the chicken shit piles and mix the foul (no pun intended) stuff with nourishing chemicals and ingredients, and add in the growth hormones, the chickens (too dumb to cluck their objections) will eat their own shit over and over. So in general all chicken served in the US and sold in supermarkets, has been rapid raised on their own recycled shit.

Sorry to be the bearer of these truths.

Both allegations are stupid lies. Do you really think we possess the technology to create an entire race of beakless chicken-like birds? If we did, wouldn't we be able to make them fat-free while we were at it?

And that whole thing about chicken processors torturing the birds? Have you ever been in a large-scale livestock processing plant? They don't have time to sit around torturing individual chickens, they just process them as quickly as possible so they can go take their coffee breaks, smoke pot in the parking lot, and jack off in the bathroom... just like other plant workers.

KFC changed its name because that's what most people called it anyway. For many of KFC's clientele, the phrase Kentucky Fried Chicken has too many syllables to be bothered with... name me one other fast-food restaurant with such a long name. It was a simple marketing strategy.

And finally, who cares if chickens eat reprocessed chickenshit? If left on their own, chickens will eat much worse. They're not very smart animals. Besides, we're not eating KFC because it's healthy, you know (I read on the very wall of KFC that one drumstick of Original Recipe is almost four hundred calories, eighty percent of which are from fat), we eat it because it tastes ever so very yummy.

Kenfucky tried chicken uses real chicken. It might not be organic free range chicken, but it's chicken. It would cost a butt load of money to take care of genetically altered " organisms" that require a bunch of tubes. When ever you read a story like this, always ask yourself how practical it would be. Companies usually do what's practical and saves money. Frankenstein's chickens is not practical.

I use to go to KFC but not any more its become to expensive. If I do go. its probably once every six month to one year. And I really do like their chicken?

u'll find horrible facts about any and every part of the meat industry, from the slaughter house to the places they serve the animal carcasses.

glad i;ve never ever eaten meat in my life, and never will take part in the murder of innocent animals.

People always cringe when you talk about tribes in New Guniea eating Dogs and other ppls eating cats, they say how could u do that, thats disgusting to eat a dog!!!!!Do u know that feeling of disgust? thats almost (but not quite by a long shot) the same way i feel about anyone eating my animal friends.

I also tell them it's not different to eating cows or chickens, coz it's not.

I like KFC its the nicest tasting of the fast food chains IMO, don't eat there to much but every few months I quite enjoy it. I think the article is probably bollocks, if they had really found a way to engineer animals in this way, it would be a widely reported and celebrated scientific breakthrough, with major implictaions for the world.

No, i have seen the complete opposite. I have seen it is one of the healthiest restaurants in the world. I have seen them handcraft every peice of chicken with loving tender care. They treat their chicken like royalty and they let them run around everywhere. I've heard that each worker spends 100 hours cleaning each chicken to insure it is healthy. They also slice every fry by hand and use a slow old-fashioned baking process. Then they hire tailors to weave every bag that you get with your meal.
