My husband said that he heard Gaga say on the radio that her song is not actually about gays, but about women and female empowerment? Is this true? If it is true that's a big minus in the Gaga as gay icon argument.

I wouldn't say Gaga speaks out on the issues more either. I remember watching Madonna cry on Ellen when discussing gay teen suicide. That's sincere.

Funny how the people we christen gay icons usually aren't gay themselves...

That said, Lady Gaga's trying to force it. Seems like the praise at least came to madonna naturally.

You have said that before elvin. It's real. Taken before her nose job. If you have proof its a fake then post it. But since there are many pics of her before her nose and lips were fixed my guess is you have none.

I just love when people post bad pics of celebrities and say thats how they used to look. FYI, even celebrities take bad pictures.... that doesn't mean thats how they looked regularly. There are many other pictures of her when she was a brunette(I.E before) and she looked like she does now. I'm not saying she didn't get surgery(Most of hollywood has....) but I'm just saying those pics are a bad representation of how she looked....

I think her nose does look quite different, not that it matters. If I had the money I would get a nosejob too.

Despite Lady Gaga being my favourite musician and I voted for Madonna. She's been around a lot longer to earn "Gay Icon" status, I fee like Gaga is still too new for that title. Maybe in a few years.
