I really do love Gaga but I agree that everything surrounding this album has been a bit of a disjointed mess. I'll admit that I don't really understand this one like I did her previous stuff.

It's still growing on me though. I'm blasting it right now along with a bottle of wine.

Let the haters be haters. Sales (of which this album was #1 on the chart) doesn't mean everything. #golfclap

I like ARTPOP more than Born This Way. I finally downloaded the rest of Born This Way because there was a discount, maybe due to ARTPOP being released.

I love Lady Gaga and she's super inspirational for me. I love Aura, Venus, G.U.Y, Sexxx Dreams, Mary Jane Holland, and Applause the most. I haven't listened to the actual title track yet.

The thing I like most about this album, besides the music, is the Jeff Koons collaboration. It really makes the art geek in me smile.

Am I looking at the wrong iTunes charts? Because I don't see her anywhere on the album charts. :(

She's 8 on the iTunes chart right now for albums.

I don't get what the big deal is with people getting so emotional about her and her supposed flop album. I bought Artpop, it's a great pop dance album, way and I mean, WAY better than Born This Way or any other current pop mainstream album.I like the songs, I enjoy great music and from what I've seen, the album went to number 1 in both US and the UK,right? Hardly a flop.

I think ARTPOP will do a lil better than 375. Just a lil. ;)

As forecast last week, Lady Gaga debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with her new set, "ARTPOP." It sold 258,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The arrival of "ARTPOP" is the third-largest sales week for a woman in 2013. It follows Katy Perry's "PRISM" (286,000 in its No. 1 debut) and Miley Cyrus' "Bangerz" (270,000 in its No. 1 bow).

So, going to bring it back a bit. Curious as to what song got you into Gaga? The song that got me into wasn't even a single, I heard a random snippet from some reward show on a game site. It was "Monster" and it is still my favorite song of hers.

I heard Paper Gangsta and I had to find out who sang it. That's still one of my favorite songs of hers.

I used to love lady gaga, but sadly I think she is done. I listened to her new album for about 2 days and then I was bored with it, yet I loved fame monster.

I was originally totally uninterested in Gaga because I'd seen the music video for Pokerface and I thought she was just the latest shallow popstar. Then I saw her do an amazing piano version of Paparazzi for a radio show and I realised that she's actually very talented and that there was a lot more to her music than I first thought. Paparazzi is still my favourite song of hers.

I wasn't the biggest fan of her first album, but I loved everything on The Fame Monster. I personally don't think she's ever been as good since then, but I still like her enough.

I loved Just Dance, Poker Face, and Paparazzi. I thought it was dancy at a time when songs really didn't seem to be. At the time that I heard Gaga, I was more into indie music and 80's synthpop bands like Erasue and Pet Shop Boys, but had loved pop in my high school years. Gaga made me like pop again.

I saw her in 2009 and minus some BS that kept me and my ex (then bf) waiting for a long time, really enjoyed the concert. I wasn't a huge fan of Born This Way, but I really love ARTPOP!

I was a fan from the first single, I heard Just Dance on the radio and thought it was Christina Aguilera. I looked up the song up on YouTube and was like "who is this??" Then I saw Paparazzi and really loved it. I thought she was weird looking, but what made me love her was all the fan videos I saw of people saying how kind she was to them, making them hair bows and such. All the interviews and behind the scenes stuff, her point of view on issues, her kindness, that is what made me a fan. She opened my mind to many new things. She helped me to come out and accept myself too. I was very insecure about myself but I saw her be outgoing and I related to her so I felt like I was ok too. She gave me strength when I felt so weak.

It is awesome to read something like this. :)

Lol. I don't think she is done because you don't like the album.

Tbh, I think The Fame Monster would be a hard album to live up to again, it is a really good album. I will always be a fan of hers as long as she stays who she is and always puts the work she does into singing/performing.

I would love to see her but at this point it is probably too expensive and too big of crowds for me to handle.

I think she's had some great moments on and off since then but the reason that TFM works better for me is that it's much tighter because of its shorter length. The music on it is great quality and much more focused, when I feel that she tends to go off course a bit with filler tracks on her full-length albums.
