Re: Is lady gaga male?

Lady Gaga had truly reinvented herself during the MTV VMA with weird outfit, which of course works for her, publicity wise :)

Re: Lady Gaga VMA's

Reason behind GaGa's outfits.... i think its genius
<333 GaGa

Re: Lady Gaga VMA's

She is talented. That's a fact. Sorry :)

Just because you hate her outfits, songwriting, songs, etc.

At the end of the day she CAN sing and play piano very well. And she was accepted into Tisch School of the Arts, which is VERY prestigious.

I can't stand Eminem. His songs, videos, lyrics, etc. That's my opinion and I'm entitled to it. BUT I can't say he's completely not talented. He CAN rap.

Even If I don't like what he raps, or how he raps. HE CAN RAP (and sell records).

Next time actually make a valid comprehensive argument to how she's "not talented" or stop hating.

And that goes for almost every other artist that get's trashed on these threads. You guys need to seperate your hate/annoyance for someone from reality. I fucking can't stand Eminem but he's talented.

Just because you admit someone's talented doesn't mean you're a fan or that you even like them.

And seriously don't make yourself look like even more of a douche and comment on her being ugly. This is exactly whats happening with Susan Boyle. People have made this "ugly duckling, small town girl" thing just to sell her. Instead of a talented singer we have to justify her not looking a certain way first. People are so shallow it's not even funny.

Wow, that was written and constructed so well. I will co-sign everything you stated.

Re: Lady Gaga VMA's

I would but you've probably never heard of them because you're too preoccupied with Britney Spears and GaGa. There's many artists that are really talented though.

Don't judge my character from my taste of music, I can easily appreciate and recognize different talent other than what I favor.

Re: Lady Gaga VMA's

Wow, I just saw the video online and it was amazing. She's incredibly unique and truly pushes the limits!! I love her!

Re: Lady Gaga VMA's

Don't really know how one would say she lip-syncs when all of her performances stress different syllables and words. If she does lip-sync, then she'd have to record a version of the song every time, as pretty much none of her performances follow her album versions.

Re: Lady Gaga VMA's

I think she's brilliant.

Poker Face is one of my all time favourite songs because even after a year, I'm still not bored of it.

And the things she wears, amazing. Life would be so much better if everyone dressed like her. Normal clothes are so boring. And her performance at the VMAs was sepctcular. Definitley the best one of the night. Kudos to her.

Re: Lady Gaga VMA's

I thought she was mediocre, didn't finish watching it. I and do like some of her songs.

Re: Lady Gaga VMA's

OK besides what you jealous bitches and narrow minded freaks will say, SHE IS AN ARTIST! Goth, cyberpunk, whatever! It is amazing to see a whole thread dedicated to dicussing the performance on the VMAs and all people here can think to talk about is how she is a guy and she has no talent. Personally, the performance was the shit! I loved every bit of it...well other than the weird guy dancing on her while she sang right before the piano. I think what she is trying to get across int the performance and in the video for this song is that although stars like the fame and the status, there is a line. Paparazzi always cross that line leaving nothing to the imagination and no detail of that person's life untold. If we learned anything from the Britney Spears interview, it is that superstars are just like normal people and at the end of the day they would like to be able to chill without having to worry about who they can trust and how much security they need. The end of Lady Gaga's VMA performance shows that even in death paparazzi don't back up. They invade every piece of personal information to make money and put the star on display with no remorse(look at the MJ situation!).Lady Gaga has many songs that are catchy but every now and then an artist comes along to send a real message. Let's face it most artist have crappy catchy tunes that draw us in until they can release a song with a great meaning. Although Lady Gaga is just like many artists out there trying to become a star and show off, we have to understand that behind the gorgeous outfits, the wigs, and the makeup, stars are just lucky normal people and would probably like privacy at certain times the same as anyone else.

Re: Lady Gaga VMA's

I liked her performance a lot, very theatrical and over the top.
The singing... could be better, she changed part of the melody and she didn't sing the high pitched notes. And when she sang "paparazzi" it sounded like he was muching the word...

Re: Lady Gaga VMA's

Im halfway on gaga myself, probably on the other side tho compared to others. I dislike her music & i think her lyrics are bland srsly, but i like her style & he attitude. The way she performs is pretty awesome aswell & i enjoyed her performance at the vma, she reminds me of a male Marilyn Manson.

Re: Lady Gaga VMA's

The problem is that so many people get mad at generic artists with generic personalities, but when Lady Gaga comes along and expresses her creative side no one understands. That is understandable. Lady Gaga IS an artist. She is expressing her vision and people are either praising it or criticising it. All art is subjective, but you cannot ignore an artist just because you disagree with their work. That's just stupid.

Lady Gaga being talented might be even be subjective, but you have to admit she is at least very skillfull. She has written over 50 something songs, and The Fame doesn't showcase the variety of her songwriting abilities. She was a songwriter before she made it big, indicating that record labels saw something special about her. Lady Gaga has composed the acoustic versions to her songs and can play them and sing them just as well. She can vocalize and dance. No, she isn't the best dancer, the best singer, or the best songwriter. Nonetheless, Gaga does deserve her props. Her image was not manufactured, it is all her. Everything she does is hands on. The Haus of Gaga is a group of friends and Lady Gaga is invovled in helping them design the set or her wardrobe. This isn't some reality tv chick who decided to make an album because she's famous, this is someone who has been making music for a long ass time and after being fed shit for so long she finally made it. She isn't on the sidelines either, but is very interactive.

As for her originality, Lady Gaga has said that she is nothing but a reference book to pop culture. Her style = David Bowie, Grace Jones, Madonna, and many more. She's basically trying to create something for pop culture, which she has. Her style is eccentric, but so? You don't have to understand it. There are people that don't understand why you like to fuck with guys, but don't mind it :)

Her VMA performance was amazing. I especially love her acceptance speech "This is for God and the gays." With 27 million viewers that night, I am glad that Lady Gaga is not afraid to interject "gayness" into mainstream.

it's funny because they hate her because she is different and hard to wrap your brain around (even though she is kinda early Madonna)

yet, we are different from the norm as well.

Re: Lady Gaga VMA's

I wonder if I walked turned up to an event looking like I covered myself in superglue and rolled around in a charity clothing bin, would I have loads of gay guys running up to me to tell me how artistic I am?

Where are the guys from Myth Busters when you need them?

Re: Lady Gaga sounds like shit live

This is pretty much the first time I've heard someone discredit her singing ability. Usually, people say she is a crappy artist but can sing.

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oP8SrlbpJ5A[/ame]

Not only does she actually sing live, but she fucking sings live.

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGYYCzaQ9ao[/ame]

I'm not even being biased here. I know many people that say thought her voice was just computerized junk, but no. She's the real deal. You need to do your research :) She has been singing and taking lessons for a while.

Re: Lady Gaga sounds like shit live

Thank you HotOne... People cannot critisize her (or anyone's) live singing abilities until they fucking see that person sing live!! Like duh!

Re: Lady Gaga VMA's

Art is subjective. To me, Lady Gaga is the artistic equivalent of framing a piece of shit and hanging it in a gallery, but good for her for having people that think otherwise.

Re: Lady Gaga sounds like shit live

She's a great live performer, and actually knows how to play an instrument. (Better than 99% of the shit-tastic artists out there)

But, her shows are still friekin' insane.
