I don't really care about their politics. I'd only care if they articulated a bigoted position. I'm in my 20's. I'm too old to be looking up to people for their views. I have my own and theirs is no more important than mine.

This makes me think of stereotypes, which honestly, are just overrated and old.

People like what they like, sure, I'm glad someone with the fame of Lady Gaga is supporting the LGBT folks and doing activism, which really helps but, why exactly is there this stereotype of gay people where they have to like Disco music, pop, act so feminine and walk/talk in a ridiculous way?

With this I am not trying to offend anyone who does/acts that way, I'm just saying that those silly stereotypes need to stop, because not every gay guy is like that. Period!

I've noticed in some LGBT places that most of the gay people conform to those stereotypes as well, I don't know if it is for the visibility factor or making other people aware of your sexuality, but I think it's up to each of us to act the way we want to don't you think?

Again, it pisses me off that someone thinks "omg you like LG or Madonna or pop music?" And the first thing I do is "ehh dude, I am NOT a stereotypical gay." Then they see my music tastes which are totally different from what is perceived as "common" and they are like "ok cool".

At least I'm glad there are other artists and musicians who are also doing activism, like Rise Against.

Sometimes I like Lady Gaga and other times I don't. I enjoy some of her music and some of her costumes. You're definitely not alone, though. I know gay guys who don't like her as well.

I <3 this thread. TBH I hate her. I can't stand the woman she just gets on my nerves and she's everywhere like honestly the advocate act like shes a God. I love Gaga. She is absolutely amazing but i sometimes feel as if she is doing too much and it can take away from her appeal
