Lady Gaga's Muppet Thanksgiving Special Flopped Majorly In The Ratings

Turns out, Americans aren't really into watching Lady Gaga sing and dance with Muppets on Thanksgiving.

Even with guest appearances from Sir Elton John, Kristen Bell, Ru Paul and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the holiday special flopped big time in the ratings.



Only 3.6 million viewers tuned in to watch "Lady Gaga & The Muppets Holiday Spectacular" on ABC. Even worse, it had a 0.9 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic. For context, ABC aired an annual repeat of "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving," which celebrated its 40th anniversary, earlier in the evening and 5.3 million viewers watched. It had a 1.6 rating in the same demographic.

People should really stop acting like ARTPOP is a flop album. It really isn't. It's just that some of the folks out there got used to the fact that she was a huge star that not one other pop female could get close to her in terms of sales,promotion and popularity. I guess that's why people call this album a flop while it topped charts in US,UK and Japan.

Yeah, I can see it being more expensive now, but I'm sure at some point you will be able to afford it. As far as the crowds, if you can try and brave them. I think Gaga's audience is a bit different than audiences you might interact with for other shows. I am still kicking myself for not seeing the Fame ball back when she was less well-known and was playing the House of Blues, which is smaller than the venue I saw her at.
 
I really liked GaGa, bought her first two CD's and concert DVD. Sadly this third CD is not as good as her previous albums. I didn't even buy one song. Even her "attention getting" fashions seem desperate. It's almost like we've seen the wizard behind the curtain and have lost interest. I wish her the best and hope she has a good support system as she comes crashing down from her high horse.

Glad to see all of the little twinks are finally coming around and realizing that Gaga never cared one bit about the gay community -- she just viewed us as a sales opportunity. Now the novelty of her act has worn off and the world realizes she's not an avant-garde revolutionary, just another first-year art student who think she's talented because her rich parents told her that she's a special snowflake.

So she stood at a podium and said that she thought gay people should be able to get married. Who cares? She's a pseudo-activist. Pandering shit like "Born This Way" accomplishes absolutely nothing except making her millions of dollars without requiring her to actually contribute anything of substance to the gay community. Call me when she's more like Cyndi Lauper, who established a foundation to assist gay youths who found themselves homeless after being disowned by their families, or Kathy Griffin, who forced her wedding guests to make donations to amfAR instead of giving her gifts.

Gaga is a talentless piece of garbage who used the gay community, and I'm ecstatic that she's finally receiving her comeuppance.

She said more than that. It happened to have been a good and emotionally charged speech. Marriage was actually a side issue in our community at the time. We were mostly embroiled in the fight to repeal Don't Ask Don't Tell and that is what activists were spending a lot of time on, Dan Choi, et al., and the discrimination law we hoped for but didn't get. Icons and inspirations are real forces that help people, especially young LGBTs in our society whom desperately need positive messages in culture. So she is no Kathy Griffin or Cyndi Lauper, no argument there, but she is not garbage and she hasn't done nothing.

Every popstar has one point talked about the LGBT community. You don't see Katy, Rihanna, Jessie J, etc bring a part of LGBT events like. Gaga is an ACTIVIST. She talked about on Twitter how the 'US should boycott Russian Olympics' she's always here for us.

She did.Its called the Born This Way foundation (2012)
There's even an hour+ long video of her discussing ever thing. But you would show no interest because you yourself don't care about helping the LGBT community. You're just one of those people
