Left-wing MSNBC host Ed Schultz: "I'm not voting in the midterms"

Someone needs to brush up on his/her grammar.

So, this is the spammer account now? Onto ignore it goes...

Your attempt to point out someone's "bad grammar" actually backfired right in your face.

Wow, Maddow reaches a new low, cherry picking numerous clips completely out of context in order to make O'Reilly look like a race baiter.

O'Reilly destroyed her with this part of his column.

"The only people Fox News is scaring are far left loons who see their shining city on the hill on fire. For 18 months, the United States has been governed from the left and things are not going well. I'm sorry if this analysis might frighten some folks but when you spend a half trillion dollars trying to stimulate the economy and create just 600,000 jobs, well, people are going to notice."

of course you are avoiding the obvious fact that she disproved the rellevance of popularity to facts... HA

priceless

thanks for proving her point with the ad hominem attack.

I couldn't have done better if I had make your post for you in helping prove her correct!!

I love it!

She didn't provide any facts. She provided comments taken out of context and lumped together. I could cherry pick clips of a newsman and make him look like a Nazi if I wanted to.

yet you avoid the context of the ad hominem versus ad populum attack theories like the plague which were the lead points in her report.

sweet but easy to see through.

edit to add::: Laika you are going back and editing posts after they have been answered. I want everyone to know I am not changing his quotes, he is after the fact. I do at times go back and add to posts before they are answered, but never do after they have been answered. I would think this is a reasonable standard

Even though those people go on ignore, I am so tired of seeing people take the bait over and over and over again.

And talking to the trolls as if they're really up for a debate.

What do you know about debating? You recently attacked someone for their grammar when it was actually proper grammar in the post. Then you threw a fit when I pointed it out. Silly lostlover.

And BP, maybe if you waited just a few minutes to reply, instead of hanging on the edge of your seat, refreshing the page, waiting for me to answer you.

If Maddow has any dignity whatsoever, she will apologize for her disgusting smear piece againt O'Reilly. Here's an example of Maddow cherry picking O'Reilly's talking points memo in order to make him look like a racist. She edited out major portions of O'Reilly's opening remarks, completely changing the meaning of his words. What O'Reilly was actually commenting about was a Gallup survey just released Tuesday with the title, "Blacks and Whites Continue to Differ Sharply on Obama." By the end of his "Memo," he was even crediting Obama with being "well intentioned."

(START VIDEO CLIP of Maddow's heavily edited version)

O'REILLY: [.....]White Americans don`t like the huge expansion of the federal government. They also oppose the big spending increases that the president has imposed. It`s simple. White Americans fear government control. They don`t want the feds telling them what to do and they don`t want a bankrupt nation.

(END VIDEO CLIP of Maddow's heavily edited version)

MADDOW: Black people want white people`s money. They want to redistribute income from the white establishment to their precincts. But remember, Mr. O`Reilly says there is not a shred of evidence that Fox News hypes stories about scary black people taking white people`s stuff.

I am not interested in playing cable news insult ping pong with Mr. O`Reilly. But as much as he keeps insisting that I`m no one worth arguing with, that I`m an uber-leftist - he called me that in his column, and a loon twice now.

And a slightly larger percentage of one percent of the population watches his show than the proportion of one percent of the population that watches my show, for all he complains about how unimportant I am, my criticism scares white people on purpose to politically benefit conservatives, damn the consequences for the country, that criticism appears to have struck a nerve over at Fox. It appears to have gotten under Mr. O`Reilly`s skin. Good.

Here is the full transcript in complete context. The text in bold is what Maddow conviently decided to edit out. The text in red are the excerpts which Maddow cut out and pasted together.

O'REILLY: Hi, I'm Bill O'Reilly. Thanks for watching us tonight. Black and white Americans differ over President Obama. That is the subject of this evening's "Talking Points Memo".

A new Gallup poll says 88 percent of African-Americans continue to support President Obama, but just 38 percent of white Americans feel the president is doing a good job. That is a 50 point differential in the president's job approval rating, which is stunning. So what is going on?

Let's take the white situation first.
According to the polls, most white Americans don't like the huge expansion of the federal government. They also oppose the big spending increases that the president has imposed. It's simple. White Americans fear government control. They don't want the Feds telling them what to do. And they don't want a bankrupt nation.

That attitude was on display in Missouri this week when 71 percent of the voters approved a state statute blocking the federal government from forcing them to buy health insurance. 71 percent said no to that. Since Obamacare is the centerpiece of the president's domestic strategy so far, you can see he's in some trouble.

But black America has a totally different view.
For decades, African- Americans have supported a bigger federal government, so it can impose social justice. A vast majority of blacks want money spent to level the playing field, to redistribute income from the white establishment to their precincts, and to provide better education and health care at government expense. So the African-American voter generally loves what President Obama is doing.

As for Hispanic-Americans, 54 percent now support Mr. Obama but that is down nine points since April. The social justice component is there as well. There's no question that there are now two Americas. The minority community continues to believe that society is not completely fair to them. And they want a huge government apparatus to change that.

And while the white community may sympathize with the minority situation, they apparently believe that more harm than good is being done to the country with the cost of social justice programs.

My own belief is that President Obama is well intentioned, but if the wild spending continues, this country will be gravely damaged. As far as social justice is concerned, strict oversight on fair rules, but not the imposition of expensive entitlements is the answer. The USA is the strongest country on earth because of self reliance and the industry of honest, hard working people, who don't want to be told how to live. Independence and self-reliance is what has made this country great, powerful and generous. And that's the Memo
.

Yeah, real scary Rachel. Regardless of the facts, Maddow and her fellow dishonest cowards completely edited the context of the video thereby dramatically altering what O'Reilly said. Isn't that just as bad as what the anonymous person that sent the excerpted Sherrod video to Andrew Breitbart did? I don't expect any of her fans here to actually condemn her dishonesty.

I think everyone knows that by now, but yes it's one of the reasons why you're allowed only 20 minutes.

he still wont respond to the body of her report and what is rellevant in this thread...lol

the fact that you can't judge the correctness of information by its popularity. It seems to be beyond his mental reach to wrangle that down.

Are you disappointed in Maddow for her dishonest smear piece? Do you see anything wrong in what she did by heavily editing out key pieces of O'Reilly's video?

Wow, Maddow reaches a new low, cherry picking numerous clips completely out of context in order to make O'Reilly look like a race baiter.

If it's so numerous you should have no problem posting actual facts, examples, and the video clips in question in full. The forum shall be waiting.

O'Reilly destroyed her with this part of his column.

You do realize that is an Op/Ed piece, right? You know, an opinion piece. He has no facts, no proof, no backup, no substantive proof.

Oh laika.

Give it up.

We all know you adore O'Reilly and hang on his every word because he's waving around the biggest ratings, but take another look. O'Reilly does the same race baiting schtick as all the other Murdoch hand-puppets on FOX. It is what keeps their white male audience watching.

How do those sour grapes taste? Just because you say someone is race baiting doesn't mean it's true.

Sour grapes?

Well dear boy, I am not the only one who has pointed out the propensity for race baiting by your favourite 'uncle'.

Look, I watch Faux for the lulz. To see the red-faced Republicans call any Dem a commie or treehugger. Rush makes me laugh too, he is more satire for me than anything, but a few times he has made some, but limited, valid points. (Not prevalent enough for me to remember any)

As for MSNBC, well, it's obvious that they appeal to the left. I don't venture there often, too left for me some times, but I will go into the New York Times occasionally, but I am vigilant because they slant their stories just like FAUX.

Back on topic. I believe that a man like Ed Schultz in his position (irrelevant to how many listeners he has) should not be saying don't vote. A Protest Vote is much more effective than being an apathetic ass and not taking the time to actually go to the polls and stand up for what you believe in.
