I never got the who beef between them. As few female rappers as there is, why waste time "beefing" with one another? Just focus on doing your own thing. You never heard about Missy (though she's more pop/hip-hop) and Eve (not intentionally) in any diss shit, I don't recall Trina being in any, either. It's ridiculous. This is Nicki's time, Kim had her fun and she's obviously not going to come out with anything new aside from diss tracks...so drop it.

Yeah Kim may have been what was hot back then, but Nicki's at the top and people love her right now =/ That's just how I see it

@legend145 I dunno, her flow is certainly "cartoony" like his is sometimes, but that's not saying he writes it...he doesn't even write his own. I thought he freestyles on most of his stuff. Who knows

I agree rayeclay! I always liked female rappers liked Kim, Foxy, Da Brat and pretty much all of the real MC's, but I just don't get the fascination with Nicki. She just doesn't seem like a real person and doesn't seem at all humble like the others before her. She has an arrogance I don't like. Her album just dropped and she has the nerve to diss the veterans like Lil Kim . It's like she's playing a game of basketball and the opposing team (female rappers) didn't show up so she is just scoring on the court by herself and thinks she is the best player around lol!

Despite not having an album out right now, Kim is still a superstar after so many years, still rich and can afford to take such a long break. People remember her songs and I just don't see that happening for Nicki in the future. I tried to like her music but "Monster" may have been the only one I sort of liked. She is over-confident and is just lucky that the better female rappers are on hiatus right now.

The quality of music has gone down so much lately that I can hardly find any songs I really like anymore. I'm curious to see how Nicki's career will be after this album. The teens that love her don't know real music so she can do no wrong in their eyes lol.

At any time, Did Ms. Hill express interest in any artists or wanting to collaborate with anyone?

There are moments when we’re taking a break from practicing and just talking about things, and I remember this one time she mentioned hearing Nicki on the radio. I believe the track was “Roger That,” and she started reciting some of Nicki’s lyrics and her adlibs. It was obivous to me she was feeling her stuff.

All of Nicki's features on other artists tracks have been fantastic...that's why I was a fan of her stuff, but the stuff she put out on "Pink Friday" was pure fluff(with the exception of maybe 2 songs). And she sings half of the tracks. She disappointed on this album...after 2 years of hype and 2 pretty great mixtapes and all those features...she flatlined with Pink Friday.

Not saying that "Black Friday" is all that stellar....but Kim's old stuff straight stomps all over Nicki...and you really cannot deny that Nicki would NOT be famous if it weren't for Kim and the other female MC's before her.

I like Nicki but she has gotten way too big for her boots. Lil Kim may not be hot now, but everyone has ups and downs in their career. And like others have said, Nicki doesnt have any songs that I would ever consider classic that people would listen to like 15 years from now like kim does.
