I never got the who beef between them. As few female rappers as there is, why waste time "beefing" with one another? Just focus on doing your own thing. You never heard about Missy (though she's more pop/hip-hop) and Eve (not intentionally) in any diss shit, I don't recall Trina being in any, either. It's ridiculous. This is Nicki's time, Kim had her fun and she's obviously not going to come out with anything new aside from diss tracks...so drop it.

Lil Kim is pretty much bitter that Nicki Minaj took the [Black] Barbie thing to another level.
She continuously says it's about "respect" and "paying homage," but it's not. She's clearly threatened. Oh well.

I agree with people saying Lil Kim is memorable, but Nicki just released her first album. you can't expect it to be gold. However, you can definitely tell from the album she is talented. With a label like young money behind her, she is set up for success. However, I am not sure which way she will go in terms of music. She seems to ride the line between R&B and rap. Now variety isn't bad, but for whatever reason people don't take her seriously because of this. I think her album is dope, and like I said I think she's on the right path.

Also, like someone else said, Lil Kim is talking trash because she feels threatened. Yes, the whole black barbie thing has been done, but that doesn't mean you have to go ragging on her.

For whatever reasons, female rappers have a hard time respecting their fellow female rappers. Its either you're on top, or you're not. Which I don't really understand considering there are shit loads of 'top' Male rappers. Meh oh well. Also, Minaj is talking a little big for who she is. She is just starting out and it takes balls to be dissing past girls. Should she pay respects to past female rappers? Yes. Should she sit by and say nothing while past female rapper talk shit? No. Also, I agree with pretty wings on the whole threatened thing.

Only time will tell if Minaj will make it as a rapper or if she will just go the R&B route...but I figure she will do a little bit of both like she is now. Which isn't necessarily bad IMO
 
Never really got the appeal of Lil Kim, I remember her being trashy and annoying and I didn't care too much for her music either. Minaj is okay, I typically like her when she is featured and not on a track alone. But Kim coming at her like this is just a bad look, it makes her look desperate and jealous and she needs to stop. It is getting her attention though, so she'll probably keep it up.

Actually all those people you named picked fights with Lil Kim. 50 cent went on a verbal rampage attacking kims physical appearance just as remy ma did. Eve dissed kim in her Dr.Dre produced song Let me blow your mind than Voletta Wallace dissed kim with the biggie movie and numerous radio interviews. Your repeating the lies Nicki created about how kim attacks people when in reality people attack kim because of her huge success. stop it

That's how I remember it as well. If I am not mistaken, Foxy either dissed Lil' Kim first or Foxy started mimicking Lil' Kim on her second album, Chyna Doll. l can't remember which came first.
 
Nicki is taking over because she's with Young Money and thats what the newer hip-hop/rap fans are into.. Just like Wayne, he don't go near as hard as he used to but people still love him and are obsessed with him. Drake ain't that good, but all the teens and young adults think he's the best thing out right now. I liked Nicki when she was doing mixtapes on her on before she was with Young Money.

Lil Kim will always be one of my fav top female rappers. The beef is stupid and pointless.
