Nothing like a fundamentalist Pentecostal loon to open an event. And more idiots following....

Domininists: they can't tell the difference between "God is love" and death by stoning for ancient laws meant for ancient people.

They live in an echo chamber forged by self-righteous arrogance.

And they are desperate to get the Johnson Amendment repealed so that they can continue the Dominionist agenda.

It's interesting how the FBI repeatedly points out the dangers from domestic terrorists groups and white Nationalism but they avoid connecting it to these charismatics and white evangelical nationalists.

The Johnson Amendment has no teeth; over two thousand preachers have been determined to have been in violation but only one was even audited and none were penalized.

Besides that, there are a good number of ways around the Amendment that churches have come up with through the 1980s especially, things that pass muster under the Amendment. As an example, it has been deemed permissible for a church to publish an information list about all candidates indicating their religious affiliation so long as no candidates are endorsed, plus it has been judged acceptable to publish a list of all candidates' voting records on issues -- a church just has to include all candidates and not specifically designate any as being the "right choice".

So really the Dominionist agenda is only mildly inconvenienced by the Johnson Amendment; opposition to it is more ideological than practical.

As for the FBI, I've wondered from time to time what it would take for them to take notice of certain Dominionist behaviors.

Is #justiceforashli still a thing? She's like Kevin Samuels every few weeks she's trending again for no apparent reason. Meh. Should''ve complied.

Peter Strozyk on Twitter:

"At this point FBI may have more cell phones than a Verizon store

Rudy Giuliani
Victoria Toensing
Michael McDonald
Scott Perry
John Eastman
Jeff Clark
Boris Epshteyn
Mike Roman
Mike Lindell

The FBI can’t seize any of them without probable cause they contain evidence of a crime."

Nearly 50 subpoenas and phone seizures in the last twoweeks, including, yesterday, Mike Lindell, who is up to his neck in this.

Liz Chaney indicates the committee actually has 800,000 text messages from the Secret Service around the time of Jan 6. Should make for an exciting Season Two of TR45SON this week.

Kyle Young has been sentenced to 86 mos. in prison, exactly what was sought. This fucksnot showed up on Jan 6 with his 15-year-old.
Kyle assaulted officer Mike Fanone and handed a taser to someone who tased him.

Fanone was in court and gave a statement.

Finally I hope some relief for Fanone to know that his attacker will pay some price for the pain and trauma he caused.

DOJ is doing what they usually do: they start with the low-level criminals, get co-operation agreements from them and then work their way up the pyramid.

Sadly, this approach didn't work with Matt Gaetz.

When I have watched Fanone in the aftermath, it is clear how much damage he suffered from the event...he still seems haunted by the experience. I hope this brings him some peace.

The injured officers usually attend each of the Jan 6th presentations. To their credit, the members of the committee make an effort to speak with them after each hearing.

They were traumatized and they're committed to seeing that justice is done.

Perhaps they're the ones who should be in the House instead of the co-conspirators on the Republican side.

All in the Family.

Family of five sentenced for storming the US Capitol on January 6 [CNN]

A Texas family of five was sentenced together on Wednesday for storming the Capitol on January 6, with the two parents getting jail time and three adult children given probation and some home confinement.

The Munn family from Borger, Texas, was among some of the first to enter the Capitol on January 6, climbing through a broken window and making their way through the crypt and the visitor center before entering a Senate conference room, according to their sentencing memos.

Parents Dawn and Thomas Munn were reprimanded by DC Chief Judge Beryl Howell for bringing four of their eight children – three adults and one minor child – to Washington with the intent to investigate the results of the 2020 election.

Oh, dear. One of the craziest of the MAGA insurrection fellow travelers just lost her attempt to hide her phone records from the Jan 6th committee.

*Note that Mr Ginny Clarence Thomas would have blocked the subpoena. Surprise!

No surprise that Thomas and Alito would try to aid the cover-up.

I wonder whose wife's number is going to be on the metadata from that T-Mobile records request? ;)

So the conviction of Stewart Rhodes for seditious conspiracy is one of the biggest stories of the week and not even a peep?

This conviction lays groundwork for the next level of conspirators to be charged and convicted.

I'm not an avid pursuer of news, but this is something I would have expected to pop up in at least one of my web feeds!

More perplexing is that I can't find any analysis at all of what this means for Trump. The fact that Rhodes made the claim that he was waiting for orders from the resident a major part of his defense just screams that Trump was part of it all.

This is hugely ironic: His wife (ex?) told reporters, "This is the first time he’s ever faced consequences ― ever. Really, it’s the first time he’s ever been held accountable for anything he’s ever done". Never been held accountable, but was head of an organization called "Oath Keepers". (*S*)

You won't hear much because this was just the first five of about 20 Oath Keepers who were indicted. DOJ got a guilty verdict on sedition for 2 of their leaders. My guess is that Rhodes wouldn't co-operate, so DOJ is going to ask for a very long prison sentence for him and the other guy who was found guilty of sedition (3 of the guys on trial with Rhodes got lesser convictions).

DOJ is now hoping that the rest of those charged will consider that they, too, could spend years in prison and that they start singing and plea bargain to lesser charges. DOJ is going to put the squeeze on the rest of the motley crew in hopes of getting evidence against Roger Stone, Mark Meadows and the Orange Supremacist.

Mark Meadows emails and texts are now public and they are everything that the GOP want Hunter Biden's laptop to be.
