2 hours and we grew tired of each other

just joking i never been in a relationship . I just had a on and off fuck buddy for a few years

Seems like my whole life.

First, from 18 to 20 with a girl. It ended badly.

Second, from 23 to 25 with a guy. HE WAS 10 years older than me and we were very different in personality and what we wanted out of life. Later after a cooling down period we became friends and remained so until his death last year.

Third from 25 to the present, 43 years. I was really lucky I met a guy who was attractive, masculine, intelligent, kind and considerate. I fell head over heels in love. When I found out he felt the same I thought I was the luckiest guy in the world and I still do.

Thanks for asking the question. It's fascinating (and personally reassuring) that nearly one-third of respondents have never had a relationship. It makes me feel like less of a freak. I've never had one either.

It's obviously not a scientific poll, but people with long relationships are decidedly in the minority. I doubt that's the case in the heterosexual world.

I think finding "true love," or something that resembles it, is very rare. Most straight people make compromises to have children. If you're not interested in having children, you have less (little) reason to compromise.

For me, until I find a guy that I really want to be with, I'd rather be alone.

This is not exactly true. If you look at the poll graph, people in relationships for at least ten years come second, right after people who have never had one.

I have had 3 two-year relationships. Seems that is my magic number.

There's is not a 30 yr. 33 years for me and my Steve. Met in college at 17 and were together ever since until he was taken from me 22 months 3 weeks and 2 days ago. I suspect I'll die of a broken heart sooner than later, it hasn't become easier.
