Looking - Season 2

Wow....the dialogue is so realistic.....I fuckin loved this season.....awesome show:=D:

I really liked the ending, at one point it seemed to be a series finale, but the last 5-10 minutes made me 90% sure there will be a third season. What happened with Patrick and Kevin was expected, but they need to continue the storylines for Dom & Doris and Agustin & Eddie.

LOL. This was definitely the best shade thrown all season, hands down. I wouldn't mind if this guy should make pop up appearances in future episodes.

BTW. Richie was sexy as hell in this episode. I don't follow pop culture enough, but can somebody send me a Private Message when Raúl Castillo comes out? Just so I know when he is on the market :p ..|

very good FINALe brilliantt

hope theres season 3

POSSIBLE SPOILER:
Can't wait to see what Patrick looks like with a buzz cut. But, as far as the film shoot, I didn't actually notice hair falling when Richie started trimming and the blade adapter seemed a bit large for a shave down. Did anyone else notice or am I mistaken?

As much as I liked watching the show I thought the show was dull and boring. I am glad they are making a movie even though the series was cancelled. I think if the show was longer than 30 minutes maybe they could have developed the characters on the show more and maybe it wouldn't have been so dull.

I'm sad that this show is ending but at least it will get a proper send off.

'Looking' for More

Last week, HBO announced that its gay drama Looking would not be renewed for a third season, ending the brief run of this show about three gay friends in San Francisco. I have to confess, the announcement made me a bit sad. Yes, I'm a fan of Looking. But, apparently, I'm a rare breed. The show's ratings had dropped considerably. And when the news broke, my Facebook feed was filled with comments that amounted to "good riddance."

I get it. The show was FAR from perfect. The dialogue was sometimes trite. Its central character, Patrick, was often annoying, his choices bizarre. It presented a narrow view of San Francisco, and focused on a small group of very white, very privileged gay men. All of these critiques are valid. And probably account for the low ratings of this second season.

But the nature of the commentary surrounding the end of this little drama I found quite perturbing. On my newsfeed, in my office, on Twitter, the internet all over, seemed to both deride the show and relish in its demise. Indeed, the commentary felt like the acidic bite from that bitchy queen we all know. It was the feeling of walking into that party where you don't know anyone and you're the only one without a six pack.

Worst of all, these kinds of comments all came from gay men.

The Looking Wrap-Up Movie Will Film This Fall

till crushed about the cancellation of HBO's gay dramedy Looking after two short seasons? So is Frankie Alvarez, whom Vulture caught up with last night at the premiere for the new season of Veep. "You know, it was sad," said Alvarez, who played Agustín on the show. "We all got together, we had dinner. We kind of poured liquor out for our gay homies. It was a bummer." Still, there's a little more Looking on the horizon, thanks to HBO's decision to green-light one last wrap-up movie. "It's a feature-length film that doesn’t adhere to an episodic structure," said Alvarez.

Sad there won't be another season but at least we have the movie to look forward to later this year. Such honest, real portrayal of gay men.

Frankie J Alvarez has revealed that the series finale of Looking will be two hours long.

After struggling in the ratings during its latest season, HBO announced that the gay-themed drama had been cancelled last month. However, in order to appease fans of the show, the US cable network revealed that a spin-off film is being planned to tie off any loose ends and give the characters the send off the deserve.

Jonathan Groff: 'Sad' Over Looking Cancelation but Overwhelmed by Fans' 'Outpouring of Love and Support'

Looking may have been canceled, but its star, Jonathan Groff, isn't done advocating for the LGBT community – or its representation in entertainment.

The out actor will be honored with the LGBT scholarship organization the Point Foundation's Point Horizons Award for his activism Monday night in New York City. In addition to acting in gay projects including Looking and The Normal Heart, Groff, 30, says advocating for the gay community has always been a passion.

As the star points out in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE: "There's not a lot of gay programming on TV," which is why he's disappointed Looking, which followed the lives of several out gay men in San Francisco, was canceled by HBO last month. (A finale special is reportedly in the works: Groff doesn't have any details yet but is excited "to get to say goodbye.")

"We wanted to create a show with gay men where they weren't tragic figures or the comedic relief or sexually sensationalized but just multi-dimensional human beings," says Groff. "So, I feel sad that it was canceled but grateful for the time that we had."

I am glad HBO is doing a two hour movie to tie up loose ends of the series. I think it deserves it. I think if the character development was created in the beginning maybe more viewers would have watched and the series would not have ended.

I hope HBO develops another show with gay characters. There is a big void on TV currently.
