LOST - parts that make you cry. *

Wait a second.
See at the beginning of this episode when it showed Locke moving the island again? When the flash came up did anyone else hear the noise? It was quite similar to the noise the smoke monster made when it "Scanned" Juliet (or Kate)

Nice Idea. He Was Rejected By His Father And It Is Logical He Would Turn To Someone As Kind As Juliet - But Wouldn't Juliet Have Known Who Ben Was When She First Returned To The Island To Help Him? She Gave No Indication Of That When We First Saw Her Or When She First Saw Him. And If NomineDetracto Is Right That They Are Stuck To Live Out Their Lives On The Island - How Did Juliet Get Off To Come Back And Not Remember? Eeyore Did A Wonderful Explanation Of Time Travel - But That Still Doesn't Explain This Memory Issue.
:D
Juliet did not recognize Ben in the present because she had not met him yet. Remember---physical time travel...not mental....but HE knew her because they had met 30 years earlier in HIS childhood, when the "now" Juliet went back in time. Which is why I am sadly beginning to realize that Juliet will have to die in the past so as not to conflict with her Future Self.......

I'm really going to miss her. :(

- Yeah ben is the best character ever on LOST
- About your "memory" issue. I dont find it weird at all and i actually think its perfectly normal.

Let's keep the Juliet example. When she first arrived on the islandd she "technically" never been there before so she couldn remember it, just like JOHN said . The juliet who was recruited is not the one from 1974.

JULIET's LIFE:

- Born in the 70's in Florida

- She grew up in florida

- IN 2001 she's recruited by the others to work on the island.

- She stays there for 3 years when oceanic 815 crashed

- Juliet Burke join the Losties to find a way to leave the island

- Along with Sawyer she stays and see the freighter explode just before the island moved

- She traveled thru different periods of time, doing different things

- She got stucked in 1970's where the dharma initiative was experimenting on the island
(Outside the island it's 2005, Juliet's missing. She's on the island)

- She stays for 3 years, living with sawyer in the barracks (1974)
(Outside the island it's 2008, The losties are getting back, Juliet's still missing)

- Then different possibilities. She dies, she stays in 1970's, she goes back to 2004... only time will tell

Other than that we dont know for sure, but do u get what im trying to explain?
It's just impossible she remembers anything coz she never experienced it before.
her future self experienced it, not her past self

Now that Iv'e done that. I've noticed 3 things

- we dont know when she was born, or how old she is

- How did the O6 went back in time, coz obviously there wasnt any flash.
SO what exactly attracted them to the island the second time ?

- In the episode THE OTHER WOMAN, Harper says to Juliet "You look just like her".
so.. like who ?? I think the theorie that Juliet might be Ben's child crush is ABOSLUTELY TRUE

I listened to it and just heard a mechanic noise. But I think it's just coz they're using the same noises everytime lool ;)

She said "you look just like her"....when in actuality...Juliet really IS her. Whoever "her" is. No---Juliet cannot be Ben's Mother. He was born off the island. Plus---1974 is only 30 some years ago, and Ben is closer to 40. AS I also read...the Losties are going to meet a young Ben.

yeah That is what I wanted to say... dunno if I made myself clear or not lool

Sorry Ekim---I misread your post. I thought it read that you felt that Juliet was Ben's MOTHER. LOL. Though.....I would LIKE to see the Losties stay in 1974, and us finding that one of them gives birth to someone we know in the present.....

I like where you are both going with this - although what you just said JOHN B about someone giving birth to one of the Losties... I don't think so.

And what'sall this "The statue has Sawyer's/Locke's face" ? If you ask me that statue was female and since it's egyptian it most likely has an animals face.

yeah I dont think the statue is someone we know... at least not a lostie
I bet it's ceasar !! lool Just kiddin

I was thinkin that Juliet might be pregnant and would give birth to someone we know, but that was just a thought coz I honestly dont know who could be her son/daughter. so Not sure bout this one

Anyway I was thinking if Ben met the lostie as a young boy that would explain :
- why Juliet was recruited
- why the list contained "Sawyer, Hurley, Jack & Kate" it's problly the only one he met, and that's why he knew their weaknesses (Love triangle) and used it to get his surgery done.

i really doubt that it's going to come to the point where they reveal that Ben knew all of this stuff before hand because of time-travel.

it just doesn't make any sense. if Ben could remember everything, then why didn't Alpert know John when he came up to him in Jughead?

i really can't wait for the conversation between the folks who returned and Sawyer & Jin.

O.K., a few things.
First---I did not say that one of the 1974 Losties would give birth to a LOST member......maybe just someone from the Island that we have already been introduced to in past episodes.

Ben knowing the Losties from his past, makes so much sense now. He did not know (while growing up) EVERYTHING that was going to happen, but had an idea....which is why he recruited Juliet. He started putting the pieces together after the original plane crash, where he probably began to recognize the people from his childhood, among the survivors. (realizing that though 30 years had past for him, THEY were still young. "oh....a-ha!")

Richard did not recognize John because it happened BEFORE 1974, and he probably did not know Ben back then. People here keep confusing physical time travel with mental time travel. I do not have access to back episodes, so I do not remember how Richard reacted the first time he met out Lost Crew in the present. Maybe he just pretended not to know them.

I really hope that the producers do not give us a Hollywood style "happy, happy, joy, joy" ending to this season, where everyone goes thru another time leap and all meet up again in the present. Whoopie. I WANT the 1974 Lost group to stay in the past, and the rest to still stay in the present. Then, and the end of the series, to have some thing (or person <hopefully a Old Jin/young Sun reunion>) tie the two storylines together.

I second all of that ;)

I've read something that is a lil bit "too much" for me but I was wondering what u guys would think bout it

Anyway, I've read that, the supplies arriving on the island when the Losties are there was maybe "ordered" by Sawyer back in 1974 knowing the plane would crash. Coz it didnt make any sens dharma was still providing food for the island since they'r not there anymore..

But IMO it doesnt make a lot of sense... could be right but I dunno. i'm not buying it

^Well, it might just be automatically brought to the Island because there was never an order from the Dharma to STOP bringing food. Being that we now know the government has some kind of hand in this (Mrs Hawkins underground room had U.S. Government banners on the walls...) it's probably being dropped off to the Island just because it's a standing order. I admit, this is just a guess, because I don't have a chance to go back and watch episodes again. (I am DEFINITELY going to have to buy the first couple of seasons and rewatch them.)

One thing that has occured to me.....maybe even though our 1974 Losties are Dharma at the moment; maybe they have a parting of ways with them, and end up siding with the Others. That would explain how they will survive (which they will HAVE to) the gassing and killing of the Dharma group by Ben and his gang.

Oh---and one last explanation of this Time Travel that is confusing everyone so much. Picture walking down the street on March 20th 2009, and someone offers you a quick trip in his newly invented time machine. You say yes, and he takes you back to 1965 where you stay for a day or so, then come back. He drops you off right where you started (maybe a few hours have pasted) back in 2009. So, does that mean that you should have known about the time machine and your trip on it, on March 15th 2009? No, of course not.

I alreday got It
But WOW that was a very smart explanation :)

I think that they might go with Ben when he sides with the others - it showed nothing about whether it was just him that converted or a group of people.

I like and actually, sort of, understand what you just said!

I'm thinking that everything is predetermined like has been shown previously in the show. They're not allowed to change anything but they are always making their own decisions - like saving Lisa - so everything must be predetermined. You reckon?

They "Did it because they were supposed to." - Eloise Hawking to Desmond.

No new episode this week.
Yeah, that's the part that makes me cry. I'm hooked again! And I was all ready to stop watching after last year. But now they're back on the island again where they belong...

Why not?!
People are guessing that they needed to take a week off so the 17th episode would fall on the last Wednesday of May sweeps. If I wasn't too lazy to get out my calendar I'd check it out...

So they're just missing this week? Not taking a massive break in the show like they have for the past 2 seasons?
