LOST - parts that make you cry. *

Also:

Remember Desmond set off the explosion (aka, the failsafe key) over the same pocket of energy (because that hole later becomes the hatch), and he lived.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Yeah, but if it didn't explode from falling at that height, then why would it explode just because she's hitting it with a rock?

Sorry btw. I really am not going to be able to get over this for a long time.

Desmond is now my favorite and glad they showed him in finale.
I don't know which finale you were watching, but Desmond was not in the season 5 finale. He was one of the few living major characters that was missing.

She was on the bottom of a pit covered in metal slamming a bomb with a rock. LOL

She triggered the explosion which leads the timeline to collapse ( because no plane crash = no juliette in that exact place).

Speculation of course, but a possibility for her to be alive.

^ Yep, he was definitely not in the finale.

I named my cat after Juliet... Joules.

After a war there are LOTs of bombs that didn't go up from falling out of a plane. But might explode if you just touch them.

Re: LOST - Official Thread*

Ok, fair enough. Thanks for your bomb expertise :D

Well Kate's going to be there. That was confirmed a while ago.

Rumours have apparently been going around that Juliet will be there too... hopefully.
Her appearance in 'V' is only a guest star...
Maybe when Lost finishes, she will be made into a regular? And then I can watch that too!!!

A few guesses.....

---The electromagneticpocketofenergy (or whatever was broken into) absorbed the blast of the bomb-------which in the future was referred to as "the incident". In order to keep it contained, the hatch/button every 108 minutes was built to contain the after effects. Life goes on, and the survivors realize that they are causing more harm than good. Retreat to the Temples..........30 years later emerge as their (much) older, wiser selves, and help defend the Island against Evil Locke.

------They DO change the past, suddenly finding themselves on the plane from first season, flying over the ocean in 2004......WITH their memories of what has transpired these last three years INTACT! Everyone (!) is back on the plane, but only the losties from 1977 (who created this time leap) remember. All the others (Sun, John) have no memory of anything that "happened <though it really hasn't yet>" the past four years. Now Jack is the "man of faith" while Locke is just a bitter, unhappy man, in a wheelchair. Jacob comes to them (Jack/Kate/James, etc.) and tells them "you have no idea what you have done." and shows them what happens to the Island without them (Evil wins). This would be a confusing season/series to make because you now have a group in 2009 ON the Island, (with different versions of some <John, Sun> of the characters in both groups) and a group of people in 2004, off the Island, to follow storywise. But it WOULD be cool.

i think she survived! but not sure what to think if they returned to a new future or back to where they started!

Season six, btw**** not sex*

Yeay yea right...
that was explicit anyway

The writers always said the island was a character itself... I now think there is no way the island is gone. They problly screwed up big, and changed things and will be back in present days with MAJOR changings

That is problyl the easiest screenplay ever possible

the idea that they might go back to 3-4 years ago with their memories and Jacob goes to them for help is one of the better theories that i've heard.

the finale was way too much set-up of the Jacob/black shirt guy & their battle and Jacob's involvement in the lives of the Losties for all of this to just go away... IMO
there was also a lot of set-up involving time travel this season, so i think that the flash at the end meant that something changed.

For me yeah....

I do think it means Big changings coming next...
and with destiny found... i mean.. this is gonna be exciting

What I am thinking is that if they did manage to change the past and they all end up on the plane then we wouldn't be seeing the 2007 Sun, Frank and Ben on the island - since Sun would actually be in LA with Jin?

There would be TWO Suns---one in 2004, with 2004 memories (since she was not with the 1977 group), and one in the present, on the Island. It would probably be too complex to do this, so I do not think they will. But it would be neat to see a 2007 Jin (knowing English, with the knowledge of what happened) sitting next to a 2004 Sun (who does know English but hasn't told him yet, who is also keeping a "secret" about her affair, ....etc....). It would be neat to see the Losties come together again, some "knowing" while others do not.

Can you imagine Juliet.....sitting in the Book Club group, suddenly screaming out, looking around her in shock, and running outside to watch a plane fly over, and past, the Island.......knowing James is on board. She falls to her knees and start crying. Poor Juliet.....

(you know.....they really should have hired ME as a writer, ya think? ;))

Considering the thread title, I almost cried when I found out the latest season finale had revealed nothing to us at all, and the first thing that came out of my mouth is "What the f*ck."
