LOST - parts that make you cry. *

TONIGHT! TONIGHT! TONIGHT!!!

i have to work, so this is the first time i won't be watching the an episode live... and it had to be THIS one.

5 seasons in, i know enough not to expect anything but the unexpected in the first 5 minutes. i'm practicing my "WHAT!? THE!??? FUCK!???"s.

ehehe
in a few hours ....
I cant wait either !!!

LOL! I'd Say Jack. But I'd Say Between The Two - Sawyer Is The Only One Who Knows How To Use It. ;)

Like scains - I Think Sawyer Is Kind Of A Turn Off. Meh - I Never Really Liked Long Hair On Guys Even If He Does Have A Killer Smile. ..|

This Is Going To Be An Awesome Night. Yeah!!!!! Promo Says Jack And Ben Will Try To Convince Everyone To Return To The Island. I Can't See Kate EVER Agreeing - Especially When In Her Dream Claire Basically Told Her To NEVER EVER Take Aaron Back To The Island. But Then Again She Never Was One To Take Orders From Anyone.

yeah !! she's a bitch ... ahahah jk !!

And i feel the same bout sawyer & Jack

Kate still annoys me. Not sure about Sun being all creepy and evil of a sudden. I understand she's upset about Jin but I dont think it really fits her character. I think Sawyer is starting to have a feelings for Juliet.

Ah last night..... I miss the humor that filled the show. There is still some, but very little. Sawyer running around looking for a shirt was funny. Anna Lucinda, the dead cop that stoped Hurley was a real surprize and funny. It was surprize considering the scandal when she left the show back when. More humor!

i really, really liked both episodes a lot. it really seemed like a return to form for LOST, to me. the people on the island are pretty much where they were in the first season when they had no clue where they were or who the people on the island are.

so, i think the "whispering" they always hear on the island is them... the people who crashed on the island and what we refer to as "the present" of the island (season 1-3), while they were running around they would hear what sounded like people talking... but it was really the displaced in time them talking. i'm almost certain that this will be revealed. and when they see other people... it was the displaced in time people.

i also think that explains why Charlie went to see Hurley (and Ana Lucia) because when the island "shifts" to the past, the people who will end up there are still alive off the island, but they remember the island... i don't know if this part makes much sense, but it would kind of explain it, unless Hurley is just nuts (but i don't think so).

also, i thought the white haired woman who talked to Desmond about the ring and was in the church was going to be Daniel's mom. maybe she is!?

That season seems to start very well IMO

I LOVED IT !!!

still a lotta questions yet to be answered and cant wait for next episode to air

I also really liked the character's eveolution... sawyer/Juliet
Sun/kate
faraday and so on

I'll wait so everybody watched it (UK people) ;)

and i'll write my review after

I thought the premiere was okay. I really wasn't that interested in Ugo's (as his mom would say) story, and I usually like him.
Was nice to see Ana Lucia even though I didn't really like her way back when.
Still love Ben.
I'm afraid everyone on the island is just going to be running in circles until Ben and Co. get everything straightened out back in the real world.

I love Lost. I started watching it REALLY late, but I watched seasons 1-4 back-to-back last year in December.

The premiere for this season was amazing!!! The time-shifting Island added a nice new twist to the story.

Hmm, perhaps Charlotte is Dr. Chang's baby? That'd explain the nosebleeds she's getting. She CAN speak Korean... but this is only assuming that Chang can speak and/or is Korean also.

the best thing about LOST is the fact that it's brilliant story-telling and the writers are consistently coming up with smart, inventive and interesting ways to tell the story.

so while some might think that the cast being stuck on the island and "time traveling" through it's history will get boring, it's actually a brilliant way to not only tell us, but SHOW us the island's history. most of the questions that have been collected through out the show concern the island and things that have happened on the island. since we don't really have any main characters from the island (besides the Others) we can't really have flash-backs to the island without them. but now the cast is going to re-live the history and we will learn about it rather than just have an existing character TELL the characters about the island. so, if they are just going to time-travel until the 6 get back, i can see how that might get boring... but knowing the writers, i really doubt it.

^ to answer your question about the time travelling/the 6 trying to get back to the island... i don't think the "island" is traveling trough time, it just moved to a different location, but is in a set location. only the Losties are moving through time ON the island.

but Miss Hawking (the white haired lady in the church at the end of the episode) was apparently searching for "an opening" which i'm assuming is a time where the island becomes visable/attainable for people off the island, i don't think it has to do with time though.

i could be totally wrong, of course.

also, the writers have said from the beginning that they knew what was going on, had everything planned and could explain everything (though they admit to some deviations/re-writes, specifically do to the arguments with the network about how many seasons it would run) and while i was kind of skeptical about this, i now fully believe they know what's going on.

Thanks for waiting till I had watched it before mentioning anything important guys :D

I've seen it now, although I had to watch on the internet - cos Sky is a bastard.

Anyway, i thought that it was an amazing opening to Season 5 - it progressed fairly quickly and was just perfect LOST!

All that time-travelling stuff was cool - confusing slightly, but still easy to follow on. I think we might be getting most of the island's secrets this year.

And I disagree with grantt saying that Hugo's mum wouldn't have believed him. Every mother can tell when their son is telling the truth/or lying, so when she saw the way he was she believed him. I think that is was the perfect way to do it. And when Hurley denied Ben to get arrested!!!!
He gets visited by all the ghosts of his dead friends to get him back to the Island and he still refuses to trust Ben - well it's all Sayid's fault. People used to say Sayid was always right, but he hasn't. He stabbed Sawyer in the arm that time he was torturing him for Shannon's medicine. And now he's being stupid.

Kate's was interesting - I don't know, I thought they were working for Sun. But when Kate went to see her it unnerved me. Sun was quite scary, but she said they weren't trying to expose the truth about the island... although if they find out that Aaron is not Kate's it leads to the same thing anyway.

I love Evangeline's ability to play a mother. When they were playing in the lift, it was just so real - just that made me want to cry. I'm so weird!

I think Sun's transition to the bad side was realistic actually, she has been pushed and pushed and finally she's doing things for herself. I believe the creator's of the show tried to explore this earlier in the series. When she shot Coleen on the boat, when Jin's mother blackmailed her for money and she threatened to kill her. It's all been quite clever really, Sun isn't the innocent girl she used to be.

Oh and Doughboy, it's the future they cannot change ;)

I can't think of anything else... oh wait - the old psychic woman. Who's probably not really psychic just travelling back in time. I thought she was Charlotte's mother, not Daniel's.
Oh and could someone explain why Charlotte was going through the same symptoms as Desmond?
Oh, and how real was the scene when they were going to cut of Juliet's hand?! Her screams were intense man!

Ok, that is it this time :D

^ oh shit!
the idea that Miss Hawkings is Charlotte's mother and not Daniels makes much more sense! i realized that Daniel is American, so it couldn't be his mom. it could, but it wouldn't make much sense...

i think Charlotte is having the same symptons because she's been on the island in the past and therefore doesn't have a constant like the others who have only been there once. maybe?

There's one thing I can't figure out about Daniel and that is who that woman was in his house/appartment when we first saw him crying because the plane had been found.
I think it must have been his mother - who he told Desmond he had to find?

Well, I only assume that Miss Hawkings is Charlotte's mother because she's English - and is quite old and has been on the island before... the name might be an issue - but everyone uses fake names these days!

Now I get it, I wasn't putting the pieces together, I don't think, it makes much more sense now. How on earth are they supposed to find a constant for her? Unless, Miss Hawkings is her mother and they arrive at the island during that opening it's only 2/3 days away wasn't it? And doesn't time go faster on the island?
That was also one of the things I didn't get, if time went faster on the island how were the losties lost for the same amount of days when they went back?

^ i don't know if time "goes faster" on the island as much as there is some kind of barrier between the island and the rest of the world that somehow affects the passing of time... i don't know, that part doesn't make much sense to me yet either.

i can't figure out how or what makes Desmond special and able to change things... but maybe it has to do with being on/off the island? because Ben seems to be able to change things too.

Glad u finally saw it !!!!

so couple of things

- i'm pretty sure the baby at the beginning is Miles... the people from the freighter still on the island all seem connected somehow to the island... and that could be his connection

- 2nd thing the first scene when we see faraday and Dr chang is prolly when the island flashe back in time after he was talkin to desmond. That would make sense coz when he got back to the beach sawyer says something like "u stayed in the jungle for 2hours" and there was a flash when he was talkin to desmons so I just assume the island went back in time... even tho it's really confusing

- Sun just rocks... her evolution is fantastic

- who the hell is that butcher ???

- I wonder how ben is gonna do to reunite everyone in just 70 hours... thats insane

- Cool to see ana-lucia

- Loved the connection between Juliet and swayer

- the people who attackd Juliet r problly others from a long time ago/ just guessing

To conclude, IMO the island is experiencing the same thing desmond experienced... it needs a constant and the constant is surely the O6..

if they dont come back they island will blow up or something.

I love the idea of movin thru time... we re gonna learn A LOT about the island !!!
