LOST - parts that make you cry. *

I didn't think of it being Miles...

Ah! The first scene - I knew straight away that it was Daniel, even though it wasn't showing his face. I thought that he had been going through time, but I didn't assume it was after he had spoken to Desmond, but Desmond said he had been knocking for half hour(?) I can't remember exactly, so it could've just been that why he took 2 hours?

Yep, Sun does rock! I always love Sun.

What Butcher? The only Butcher I remember was Charlie's dad.

I don't see how he can do it either... But he already has Jack and Jack has Sayid, all he has to do is tie him up and take him. Kate might be a bit harder, but she will be more willing, I think, now that her and Aaron might be exposed. (When they get back, do you reckon Claire will take Aaron back? Poor Kate.)

Yep, I liked Ana Lucia anyway - I know lots of people didn't - but it was cool to see her, especially in the situation. It was quite funny, but really clever at the same time.

Yep, I always thought Juliet and Sawyer would be getting together, but I always thought it would be in a really stupid unrealistic way. So glad it was him rescuing her from a horde of fire arrows. (How funny was it when she ran back and started to cover the fire on the man in sand to put it out... she just looked really funny!) And attempting to stop her hand getting cut off - I'm pretty sure that Mikhail was in that scene, not sure though.

Yeah, I thought they were age old others, but was sure I saw Mikhail. However, they don't trust Juliet anymore anyway, since she betrayed them to the Losties. But then again, the way they behaved (cutting off Juliet's hand) was quite archaic so that leads me to believe they went back.

I think that is possibly true, although it's not just the O6. Desmond, dead Locke. Definitely have to go back. And I'm not sure if Walt will have to go back - since he left before the bad stuff happened. And Ben is a mystery too, I can't tell whether he has to go back or he just wants to.

Yep, I thought the moving through time idea has been implemented very well and it is going to be one hell of a season.

I think that was just so that it hit home for Hurley, make it feel more real to him...

I didn't really like Ana Lucia's reference to Libby to Hurley. "Libby says Hi" or whatever. Too cheesey.

this makes sense if Hurley is simply crazy and seeing things, because it's it's his subconcious, a he would want for Libby to say hi.

it i is real i would agree that it was cheesy except for everyone loves Hurley so much, it's somehow not.

lindleoff and cuse said that that woman was daniel's caretaker.

i agree that desmond, locke, and walt will have to go back too, but not ben. at the finale of season 4 ben told locke that he will move the island on the condition that he can never go back. and that is the reason why locke was appointed the leader of the others

OK thanks for clearing that up for me.

I'm watching the first episode again (downloaded it on iTunes) I really wish that Daniel would have given Sawyer his shirt, it would've been nice to see some scrawny biy get his shirt off for once. Daniel's more my type anyway - and Sawyer slapped him!!!

Seriously now, the first time I was watching I was thinking that this is where LOST could have started. It would have been far too confusing, since the show has eased us into what is happening and made it easier. But LOST could have started here. What do you think? Obviously there would be far too many things wrong, like the amount of flashbacks would be increased because of the character pasts and the island stuff... but to me, it seemed almost like an alternate beginning.

Wot is awesome with that show is that still after 5 seasons its still full of WTF moment

The way I see it, all of the characters have become special...
But, did anyone watch the latest episode?
*SPOILER*
Richard said that recruiting new leaders started by testing them at a very young age. So I am assuming that they were testing Walt to see if he was leader potential... he probabky will become the new leader.

I still think that Eloise Hawkings is Charlotte's mother and not Daniel's. It all fits far too neatly for her to be Daniel's mother and we don't usually get that in LOST. Not only that, I think that she looked like Charlotte (I'm talking about Ellie - the other who was pointing a gun at Daniel) sounded like Charlotte. And let's face it, Daniel has an American accent and Miss Hawkings is still English along with Charlotte's. Plus, the thing about Charlotte being born on the island - well Ellie was on the island.

*SPOILER*

I was thinking that Charlotte was possibly Daniel's daughter, but it didn't make sense to me. You don't say you're in love with your daughter, you say you love your daughter.
But wouldn't Penny have said something if she had been raised with another girl? Said something to Desmond about her having a sister.

I knew that Jones' guy was Whidmore though.

I don't think that Charlie (pace) is Desmond and Penny's child. The way I see it, it was just a tribute to the man that brought them back together - while unfortunately being the name of Penny's father. So I think he will go to the island anyway, but Penny said she will go wherever he goes.

I do believe now that Mrs. Hawkings could be Daniel's mother, but I want her to be Charlotte's it would be more exciting.

Yep, Miles is good. I like the way the film his scenes when he goes all psychic... and I like how he sort of does a sniffing action with his head.

I suppose he could be one of the original's. It all becomes very interesting when you look at it. I want to know how some of the character's don't age...

Going back to the Charlotte and Daniel thing I really can't decide... is Daniel one of the immortal ones that don't age? Who's the time shifting woman? It doesn't mean that she never met her father that she doesn't have a constant - it could easily be her mother...

One thing that I find interesting is Juliet's reaction to the whole thing. She doesn't seem fazed by the fact that they're moving around in time. I mean when the hatch appeared again she just jumped down and uncovered the window "it's back". And if she was one of the others why is she moving around with the Lostie's while the rest of the others disappear? I thought it was funny that she could speak latin.

^They are just not showing the entire Islands crew of Losties. The Others are gone because they were wiped out, killed, scattered, during the wars between the two sides. The left over others are merged into the group we are now following.

Juliet has been thru a lot on her time on the Island----more than what we have seen. So, she knew about the time shift abilities of the Island for completely than the Lost crew.

Daniel knows more about the Island than he is telling. He came to there to explore the islands abilities. So, that scene at the beginning (helping build the tunnels) probably gives a hint of how long he has been studying it. He's not an immortal, just caught up in the time travel aspects of the island. Plus----and I just thought of this----that could be a scene from a time shift that has not happened yet----separating him from the rest of the group for a long period of time......

What I meant was: when the island first moved through time the others that Locke was with disappeared - well actually Locke did, so my question is why Juliet is still visible to the group of Lostie's who have moved on in time.

I sort of figured that Juliet knows a hell of a lot more than we think she does - I find that fun, which means that hopefully Juliet doesn't get killed off. She was one I thought was going to get killed because during season 4 she had a lot less scenes than she did in season 3, but now that the O6 are gone she has become more prominent again which I am grateful for.

I forgot about John/others connection. Well, I assume then, since there are so many people on the island, that the show is just focusing on the group that we have gotten to know.....realizing that there are other people on the island who will come back into the picture/storyline later.....

Maybe you're right, but the writer's will have to come up with an explanation for that to avoid scrutiny... but think about it, if they didn't have Juliet - it would be almost empty on the island right now.

One of my favourite things is that they are killing off nearly all of the extras. It's fun but at the same time threatening - cos when they run out of extras it'll be the main ones that die.

Anyone know what happened to Rose and Bernard?

But Eloise was also the name that Daniel gave his cherished lab rat. So I think he named the rat after his mother.

I know it was but I really don't want her to be Daniel's mother - how will he save Charlotte otherwise... and who would name their rat after their mother? It's a bit of an insult to her isn't it? Maybe he disliked his future mother in law and named the rat after her? I refuse to believe that Daniel met Charlotte on the frater and fell in love in a couple of weeks. (I don't actually know how long they were on the frater, but it does seem likely that it wasn't very long)

and who would name their rat after their mother?
A scientist would. Especially one who's rat helps him make a breakthrough with the space time continuum.

Spoiler below

And I hate to break it to ya. But the young girl's name with the gun in 1954 is Ellie. Young Widmore told her "Shut up, Ellie." Faraday said she looked familiar. He was there with his future to be mother.

I know Whidmore called her Ellie, I already said in a previous post that it said that. So it's not news to me.

I just don't think it's Daniel's mother is all, we'll just have to wait and see.

Does anyone know what happend to the kids that were kidnapped by "The OThers"? Remember those kids? The ones from Ana Lucia's camp?
Were they ever acknowledged? Will they be acknowledged again?

Well they were with the air hostess when Jack was in a cage... but it hinted in last nights episode that the kids were taken to test whether they would make good leaders of the others in the future. I expect we'll see them at some point, when the island is sorted again.

so, did everyone catch the fact that Alpert going to Locke as a kid and asking him to choose the compass?

it is really exciting to watch all the pieces coming together...

the young Whidmore is crazy... so much to think about.

Yes, now that John has given Richard the compass - Richard will go back to test John, who was meant to pick the compass.

But they can't change the past so he won't pick the compass.

I have heard people complaining that there aren't any questions being answered but more questions. However, I feel that instead of answering questions directly, they are answering it with a different question; this just lengthens the explanation rather than giving or not giving the answers.

The young Whidmore is crazy - "do you think he knows this island better than I do?" I'm quite intrigued... I thought that Whidmore owned the Dharma initiative, and Ben got rid of them - I thought that was what he meant by "everything you have you took from me." but it seems that he must have been the leader once. (though it didn't look like he was the leader at that point - Richard was)

So the rules that Ben and Whidmore were talking about when Alex was killed? Are these their own rules or the rules of time?
