I've already told you. That won't happen. As Music2400 said, he may be a "twisted fuck", but he knew exactly what he was doing. His own actions since the murder have already proved that he is sane.

We already have a famous insanity case up here (the Tim McLean attack and murder). People weren't entirely happy with the outcome, but it was just. Vince Li got the psychiatric help he needed.

If Magnotta needs psychiatric help for anything, it's to shrink his swollen head. He's going to be like Richard Ramirez. It's going to be all about the attention. He wants to be famous. He'll be having orgasms as he sits behind the defence table and listens to the testimony.

He wants people to know and remember him. They will, and he'll be quite happy knowing that as he sits in his tiny cell for the rest of his life cutting out paper dolls from the newspaper headlines.
 
He pleaded not guilty... No real surprise there, but in my opinion it only delays the inevitable. The evidence against him is just crazy, I don't see how it's possible for him to get off (well, he is getting off on the attention, but that's not the getting off I meant ;) ). On Thursday, the court will discuss a motion requesting a psychiatric evaluation.

An object found in a Montreal park on the weekend is the head of dismemberment victim Jun Lin, police have confirmed.

The head, initially described by police only as possible human remains, was found in Angrignon Park in the city's south end on Sunday.

Investigators then sent the remains to a lab for DNA testing.

Happy is a perfectly good word. I know I won't be 'at peace' until Magnotta is locked behind bars for the rest of his life.
 
I just watched this episode of CBC's The Fifth Estate... it's sort of a documentary about Luka's life - mainly from the time he forst posted videos of the kitten killings to the time of the human murder. It focuses on his quest for fame and attention, and it's pretty amazing to see the methods that the animal activist group used to track him down. These people are just regular joe's like you and me, and the amount of effort they put into this was incredible... It's too bad the police couldn't do more to catch him before he got to this point... Anyways, WELL worth a watch for sure... (Although I am not sure if it will be one of those videos that you can't watch outside of its country [Canada]). I hope you can...

Bad news. It was released in court today that he was diagnosed as a schitzophrenic as a teen. Mental illness defence could already be well on its way to fruition.
