I don't want to go because THEY ARE FLYING COACH the whole way to Dubai! And, I didn't have any fun last year. I just lounged around the hotel room.

You have got to be f***ing kidding me. Why don't you just grow up instead of acting like a spoiled little brat. There are people in this country who have been laid off, barely getting by, and/or are homeless. And your whiny little ass is complaining about an all-expense paid trip half way around the globe because it is in coach?

Why should they? You're an adult. They're adults. Adults normally don't give money away just because.

If I was you, I would appreciate they are willing to take me along. Some parents won't even bother asking you.

If it was me, I would not go either. If someone offered me a free trip to Iran, I would not go there either.

If I was him, I would consider going on another trip with a group of friends to a much more friendly place.

I think you should go be with your family regardless of having to fly coach. I also think you should stop and think about how lucky you are to be part of a family that can afford to treat you in such a lavish way.

At 24 you're an adult.

Your family sounds odious beyond belief. I mean, how spritually and intellectually bankrupt do you have to be to spend Christmas in Dubai? It is a shithole of the first order. Between your family's total inability to deal with domestic employees and this pathetic excuse for a destination trip, I don't know why you'd even waste time on them.

Grow up.

Don't ask for the money instead. Don't throw a 3 year old's tantrum.

Just say you don't have time for the trip and that you hope they have a great time.

my parents went to KSA (Saudi) and i spend Christmas alone here because I didn't want to go. I was 18 btw (i just turned 19). If I can, so can you.

I don't know how many hours I have spent in a C-130 sitting on cargo netting seats, or if I was really lucky sitting on a real seat on a C-141. Neither had service (meals or drinks) you had to bring your own. A nice metal tube packed full of other service members.

Now I read about...the horror...FLYING COACH!

I used to look forward to Dubai, we could drink there and not worry to much about getting greased, unlike the northern gulf countries.

I am having a major problem with my mom and dad, right now... They are planning to take the family to Dubai for Christmas 2009, however, I don't want to go to Dubai again. I have discussed this with her, but she told me that if I don't want to go to Dubai with the family, that I'll be spending Christmas without the family - cuz they are dead-set on going

What should I do?
