Making eye contact with a cute guy is ...

I think it's important to maintain eye contact when you're talking with a person, particularly when you're listening, unless you're driving or you're comfortable enough with the person to know he/she won't think you're ignoring the person.

I also make it a point to be comfortable with locking eyes with people I pass by on the street, but I don't linger or give any looks that could seem threatening. You've got to appear decently confident if you want to be taken seriously and being able to look people in the eye without darting away at contact is part of it.

What's hard for me is eye contact with random people while sitting on the subway or bus. I don't really like locking eyes with people who are going to be sitting or standing in front of me for a long time. It's just awkward cause I hate those "silent conversations" that you get into with people when you're wondering if they're giving you signals and whether or not you should somehow acknowledge them, even if you're not interested. And of course, it's really an issue if the guy is cute. Then it's always on your mind and it just seems more obvious (to whom?) that you're subconsciously sending signals or maybe resisting the urge to send signals. It's probably all in the mind though.

Talking is a lot easier..

Oh, Danny-poo. You have no idea how much I lust you.

Nothing really happened.

There were too many employees for anything to happen.

When I thanked him for fixing my notebook in a day, he smiled at me. !oops!

He then offered to help me install Windows on it, but I declined. I knew how to.

He said I could call him anytime if I had any problems. I'm thinking he wants more money out of me, but a guy can still wish it meant more.

at least you gave it a shot! and you got a smile back in return. ..|

that's progress if you ask me.

you should take those eye contact skills and hit the clubs you found in your neighborhood. ;)

Oh, Danny-poo. You have no idea how much I lust you.

you total sweetheart you.

Most Guys turn away from me so I just keep my eyes downward

This is not appropriate behavior for a God-Emperor.

(not that i'm really endorsing claiming God-Emperorship).

difficult. :( #-o :help: !oops! ](*,)

Agree or disagree?

if you don't look them in the eye, they won't know that you're interested in them.

...I surely know it can be overwhelming, especially if you're feeling less than confident. I remember once I was at a restaurant with friends. Across the room, I caught the eye of a REALLY CUTE GUY. He looked back. We held it.

It was so fuckin' weird! EVERYTHING in the background just kind of faded away, and I'm while I'm sure that it was just for a second, it seemed like forever. Then something happened, and I was back.

I actually ended up approaching this guy later, and totally bungled it (or at least, from that instance, lost his interest). I actually think that it had to do with the fact that he was at the restaurant with someone else, and that talking with me at the time wouldn't be "discrete." That he was there with someone else was completely lost on me, given that we had just exchanged in round of Big Hairy Eyeball.

It was OK, though. Later on I saw him in another situation, and he was smoking, and I could NEVER go out with a smoker.

I have no problem with eye contact.

The problem I do have is when they catch me, I'm not looking at their eyes. :)

it is difficult for me as long as I don't know him. If I get to know a cute person, I forget about his cuteness.
