Well if he's cute, making eye contact would be relatively easy.

i agree. it is difficult.

therefore i've taken to garnering their attention with flare guns which i fire in their general direction.

Not for me. Then again, I have resigned myself to being a single bitter man the rest of my life so it's okay. I already have one cat going toward my "crazy cat man" bit.

Or they could be farsighted and not wearing their glasses. I used to have difficulty making eye contact with people before I started wearing glasses. (Now that I'm nearsighted rather than farsighted, I don't have that problem any more.)

There are many reasons as to why I wouldn't directly meet my eyes to eyes of a cute guy, and amoung them involve mood and the type of 'cute guy' the guy is.

For example, if the cute guy has a dominant, world-grabbing-type personality, I will definitely have the hardest time making direct eye contact with him. Because I'm a very shy soft-spoken guy in real life (even though I may not always appear it on these boards), doing so is, in my mind, ultimately sending a message that I'm at his level of energy and power; if I don't meet up to such level of confidence that I'm implying, I'd be in big trouble later, and my sensitivity generally can't handle it.

Nor would I make such an eye contact to him if he was much shyer than I am, because it might scare him and make him insecure. I'd feel really bad about it and won't get over it until a few days or a week later.

For another, when I'm in one of my weird lunar moods, making a direct eye contact with him would very much either scare him or turn him off for some time. I would know. When I'm in one of those unintended sarcastic moods that happen out of no apparent reason (not that I don't mind their existence), I tend to see a darker and duller-looking face in than usual in the mirror. Not a very nice-looking face to be directed towards any person.

All in all, these non-eye contacts in the situations mentioned above are really meant to help prevent me from loosing a chance with the cute guy. :D
 
When I was younger looking into anyones eyes for more than 5 seconds would cause me to cry a lot. So I stopped. I can looking into peoples eyes now but I still find it hard so I end up looking around their face or stare at their eyebrows and end up looking foolish. I think .... :confused::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:
 
Eye contact is the fastest and hottest way to say "HI"

It does not matter if it leads to a sexual meeting, just the "eye" contact, where ever it happens, "locking in" with the eyes, is GREAT.

You are saying "I think you are attractive" and their eyes may say it back.

They may not be able to act upon it for numeous reasons, but their eyes have said it.

And hell no, it's not hard to make eye contact. It's actually a lot of fun to go out and try and catch some cutie's eye. (!)(!)(!)

It's easy to look at a cute guy. Just follow my advice:

Remember he's human, he poops, picks his nose, he sweats, he smells, he farts, he wakes up in the morning all dirty and gross and needs to shower. Picture him doing all those things. I know, gross, but it works. Once you take him off his pedestal you'll be fine.
 
There's a way to do it. You have to be relaxed, casual, friendly, and somewhat neutral. Most cuties will appreciate the compliment: I noticed you...
