In this UK anyone who finds treasure has to report it
First of all not too many people carry 140.000 dollars cash to loose., unless its some kind of crime money...Second how hard will the bank try to find the owner..lol...not too hard.I would bet it would be put into someones acount..wonder who's
Well if I'm ever in Hamilton Ontario and I lose my wallet I'll just start a thread on JUB
Tony The Tiger! Hand My %$%^$^ Wallet In![]()
I disagree with your post, first of all the $$$ was found not stolen, you can't compare the two with your examples.
What about salvagers and treasure hunters who find valuable things all the time, should they be locked up, No.
Rest assured if your careless to drop your wallet right after payday and it has no i.d. and I find it.........Well! You do the math.
Finders, Keepers. Baby!
What a dumbass, I'd have that in an offshore account in ten minutes.
It's sad that the general conception with people is that if you drop something, that means it's theirs. When you guys lose your Wallets or whatever else and it doesn't get returned, please, don't bitch to any one or complain, cause you would've done the same thing.![]()
I for one never complain, if I lost my wallet I'd kick myself in the ass for being so stupid and careless and if it was returned I would go into cardiac arrest from the shock.
It must be depressing to have so little faith in humanity.
Sorry to say that you feel that way. I've worked in a Mall near a ATM machine, and people all the time would bring over credit cards that people have accidentally left in the machine. Yeah, it's pretty care less to do that, but that doesn't mean they deserve to be robbed.
That is not a good example, you said debit/credit cards are turned in. of course they would be, they are useless if one doesn't have the pin number, We are talking about cold hard cash, greenback, Moohal. Sheesh!![]()
So if you did happen to know the pin, you would keep the card?
Unless your stalking the person or a professional thief (which I'm not) that is not possible.
That's not answering the question. If you somehow knew the pin, you would keep the card? That seems to be what you're suggesting. That crosses the line from being morally questionable to being illegal.
There's finding a sum of money.
And then there's obtaining money through deception.
One is morally and ethically questionable, the other is highly illegal with (in the UK at least) a recommended tarriff of 20 years.
