Marvtha threads should be in Fun and Games

If you'd like to suggest a better place for me to post pictures of my new puppy or stories from my vacation, please speak up.

Until there is a "Soil's Life" forum (not scheduled until June of this year), I'm stumped.

Well they really need to create a "Cry ME a River" forum for all your "My poor baby bro is in prison, what ever will I do ?" threads.

I just don't get it.
Bush is sending 22,000 more to Iraq.
There is ethnic cleansing and starvation in Darfur and other areas, and yet some people have their balls in an uproar over as trivial an item as which forum certain posts belong in.

There is a forum for current events and politics. Hot Topics isn't it. Oh, and @ce, I'm glad someone finally said it ​

Back to the point at hand... I know who 'marvtha' is, but I don't care.
"she" can write some outrageous shit that can make me laugh and wonder at the sheer creativity that goes into those posts.

That's the bottom line for me.

Sit down at your keyboard at create a character that makes us CARE about
them....real or illusionary.

Isn't that what we are all trying to do ?

Oh, and twardmo, I'm sure that was an attempt to hurt my feelings or get me angry or upset me, but I'm immune to stuff like that.

It just makes me pity people who are so hell bent on low-blows and trying to hurt other people.

OK.. my last words on the subject.

1) I used to have a whole bunch of threads that either I started or were started by others about a fake religion we had called "Jasunism." I, of course, am the God in Jasunism and followers of the religion were called "Jasunites." I thought it was funny, and so did many here, but not every one did.

All of those threads, I believe, were either stared in or moved to the Fun & Games forum and nobody had a problem with that... we KNEW it was just a silly thread and didn't expect everyone to join in.



2) I once had a fake persona here and once it was discovered, not only was it deleted, but every thread I started by NowVoyager was deleted along with all of the posts in a couple forums. More than a few moderators wanted Soilwork banned too.

There's still a lot of animosity over that episode and although I think I had good intentions, it was probably the wrong way to go about it.

3) I've seen some very vicous attacks here.. very vicious personal attacks and posts that I would just call "Below the belt" posts that I would think a decent person woudln't make. That being said, it's obvious that JUB, like the gay community, isn't one big happy family and never will be. But can you imagine how dull JUB would be if it wasn't for posts from people like me and Marvtha and Andreus and many others who stir things up, get people involved in one way or another and force people to examine everything they take at face value?

It would be an endless string of "poor me" posts. And membership would be much lower.

4) When people are allowed to have alter-egos, they often end up feeling empowered enough to take stabs at people and say things that they woudln't normally say. I've been told that Jadin is a very nice person from a few of Marvtha's friends, and all were rather shocked to see him say a couple things that he's said as Marvtha in the last couple days.

There's a reason that alter egos are a bad idea, and I think this is one of them.

Hmm, it's interesting to me how a topic about where Marvtha's threads
should be evolved (dissolved ?) into a personal attack on some folks here.

What are we talking about, exactly ? WHY are so many people pissed off ?

I guess the word 'duplicity' comes to mind. Some people are pissed that
others have posted under more than one name. Frankly, that doesn't matter
to me as much as the fact that some others can stoop so low as to attack
those people by saying the most painful things possible.

Jadin, Soilwork, Elvin, Andreus, and others here....I have nothing but love and respect for you guys (well, as much as possible in this cyber setting) and it
really gets to me that there are people out there hell bent on 'bringing you down'. (Well, yeah, *I* may give y'all shit from time to time....but it's just 'cause I care... )

I guess what bums me out is that we are all lucky enough to live in this digital age where we can all come together, in theory for acceptance and support, and yet it can instead turn into a bunch of mud slinging.

I guess that's all I have to say.
