Marvtha threads should be in Fun and Games

We need different forums because there's a lot of members on JUB, and if we had only 50 threads on a main page, posting would go down.

It's been shown that if there's enough of a need for a separate forum (CE&P for instance) it will thrive... if there's not (JUBMeets for instance) it won't.

The Main forum is a catch all for topics that interest everyone or at least most people here that don't fit into any real category.

Threads where people play dress-up as another person would seem to fit the F&G description, but hey.. what do I know?

I think the poll on this thread is fairly telling: It's about 50-50. Really brings to life the meaning of the expression "reasonable minds may differ." Where does Marvtha fit? Reasonable minds may differ. Personally, I liken those threads to a joke thread - and if you tell a joke once it is funny but I quickly tire of repetitive jokes. And jokes seem to fit best in F&G.

remember that there are a lot of mods here working and many move threads and so while it may look many Marvtha threads end up in F &G that really may be the work of many mods working independently and not just one. There are now like 17 mods and several active admins as well.

My knee jerk reaction is that Marvtha's threads make me laugh
out loud, and provide a lot of MUCH needed brevity on these boards, and
that alone make them worthy of 'hot topic' status.

It amazes me that two or three of the 'stars' on these boards object
to that....

They can post endless pics of themselves and start endless self-serving threads in the 'hot topics' section that basically read, ' Hey, Look at me !'
And then complain that Marvtha is really steering us off course.

I must say this thread is very interesting. I had no idea there were so many camps here at JUB. I always thought people were joking with one another or playing on inside jokes. I never realized there was so much animosity.

oh yeah...it's not even so much there are "camps"...it's fun to hate on some people without really hating them (like certain people who like straight basketball players), like i'm sure it's fun for some people to hate me

and then there are those who truly suck and you wanna beat the living crap out of. you know, the ones you wanna stomp on til you see brain matter...but let's not make this ugly, ahem.

refering to that dog and pony show as a person is misleading

people can talk about any aspect of their lives that they want to

i just prefer to have real people take precedent over a long stale joke that never stops cluttering up the forum.

I just don't get it.
Bush is sending 22,000 more to Iraq.
There is ethnic cleansing and starvation in Darfur and other areas, and yet some people have their balls in an uproar over as trivial an item as which forum certain posts belong in.
Humor is as individual as our fingerprints. If you don't like a certain flavor, don't go there.
I find the Marvtha threads far more entertaining than "How big is_________'s dick?" "Cut or uncut?" "Fleshlights".
Everyone needs to take a chill pill and stop making mountains out of molehills.
