Well i meant the thread was made by ben but i were mainly pointing out that your saying were things should be aswell, but you were attacking another member.

So why would you want to ban the person because YOU find it annoying? A little short sighted in my opinion.

Many people (myself included) find it nice to have a laugh, away from general stresses of everyday life. If anyone doesn't like the conversation or doesn't want to join in then DON'T! I'm sure its no skin of Marvtha's ho ha.

As for where it is put - I couldn't care less - Is it really that hard to avoid if it is left in hot topics? Are people's lives so busy that they can't read the author's name and just ignore it?

I'm perfectly capable of avoiding threads I find boring.

but there' a "fun and games" forum for threads that are repeditive and just there for fun.

why are people getting so bent out of shape? You all say it's "just a bit of fun", right?"
 
Dude.. the entire persona of Marvtha makes fun of stupid people in trailer parks.

Yes but trying to sift through the myriad of bullshit threads in order to get to the ones you actually want to read is annoying. Moving those threads to where they belong would help keep things more sane and threads like these would decrease.

I mean, there are a lot of people who eventually tire of all the inane garbage and just leave altogether.

There have been times where the main Hot Topics page is full of things like "Who do you like better, Paris or Ashlee?" and "My poop is green?" and "Britney is a Bitch" and countless parody threads and posting goes down because people just get annoyed.

If making jokes about a retarded girl who lives in a trailer park is so important, why can't you go do it in the forum where that kind of thing is supposed to happen?

do you feel that the intellectual level of Marvtha threads is decreased because they're next to the poop threads?

i love how all the bully's here just wanna get rid of anything they don't like by relegating it to a section where no one goes...as if someone is forcing you all to click on marvtha's threads to begin with. that is the only thing wrong with JUB...the fascist streak in some members and mods.
 
ok, i recently read through a few pages of marvtha's "shrink" thread.
thats not what i call a "conversation," it's what i call "chat," and roleplay chat at that. I don't believe for a minute that the members who state that they are going dumpster diving and having an orgy are actually doing those things - it's a game of pretend.

"comedy" can often be painful when, behind all the giggles, we come face-to-face with a social issue, or insight into the human condition. I didn't see any of that occurring in that thread. Mostly it was a bunch of people talking about deviant ways to screw each other, and who is "doing" what to whom.

they should be moved to fun and games.

I wanted to start a thread about my declining interest in JUB, and the forums here...I HAVE considered spending less time in "hot topics" and more time in politics because either i have become less needy of the sort of social connection i find here, or because the quality of that connection has really gone downhill.

ive spent a good portion of the last 48 hours here at JUB because ive been terribly depressed. You know what? I think I need to get out of the house.....
