Has it occurred to you that a masculine guy could like a fem guy for some reason that is in no way related to his femininity? Or perhaps he just finds the femininity attractive, which is great too. Ugh, why is this every thread all of a sudden?

I've never really seen a masculine guy with a really feminine guy either... It seems that couples are more similar to each other than differ when it comes to that specific aspect of men. It may be a result of similar interests/lifestyles being reflected. And before guys freak out at what I'm saying - obviously there's no absolutes here. I'm sure it doesn't always follow this but it seems to a lot.

I'm guessing that circumstance, interests, teams, sports, clubs etc has a lot to do with it too.... If you're into rugby or football and play on a team - you're probably going to be exposed to more guys who are similar to you... Likewise it would be the same for other hobbies and interests that would attract similar type guys.

right but what would a fem guy and a masc guy have in common...if you go by stereotypes the fem guy isn't into sports, playing or watching them, or doing "manly" things...and the masc guy is...so.....

I know fem guys to LOVE sports and masculine guys who HATE them. Since when is athletic competition an accurate measure of masculinity?

Like it or not - pretty much forever. Think about it. Who pulled in more tail in high school - the football team or the chess club? In everyday life, who consistently has legions of fans waiting to pull of their underwear with their teeth - hockey players or politicians? I'm not suggesting that blindly attaching masculinity to physical prowess is just or correct, but come on dude. You can't in all seriousness suggest that it's not a reality. Not liking it doesn't make it go away.

Oh god.

Another Justlove hates fems thread.

It has been too long.

All of the OP's threads can basically be summed up as "This is my view and anyone who deviates from that is not just wrong, but downright disgusting."

I never said it's not a socially accepted measure of masculinity. I said since when is it an accurate measure of masculinity. Look, don't get me wrong, I played football for 6 years, track for 8, and baseball for 9. I totally see what you're saying and I've experienced it first hand, but the fact is, the simply enjoying sports is not a real representation of masculinity. Just like me enjoying fashion is not enough to classify me as fem because ultimately I'm just not. It's not that simple. Really though, what the hell does "pulling tail" have to do with anything? Doesn't mean you're masculine, it just means high school girls are easy. ;) Kidding btw.

I see masculine guys with femmy guys all of the time...guess I get out more.

Cause the ultimate measure on any being is if that person is having sex... nothing else matters. At all. Ever.

So it got me to thinking...what makes a masculine guy want to be with a fem guy?

Perhaps we are attracted to others different than ourselves? You know the whole opposites attract and all that good stuff.

And perhaps we don't care about the behavior of a man you seem concerned about? We can look past that and see a person worth our attention?

Does it make you feel like more of the "man" in the relationship and the fem more of the girl?

Nope.

does it empower you? Make you feel more macho? etc...does it make you feel like your with a girl?

Nope. Not everything is about domination and feeling manly...

if that's how you choose to interpret what i said - go ahead. but these are YOUR words, not mine.

Bo Dean is pretty masculine and he likes smaller, more "fem" twinks.

Go figure.

Really? I thought he was Gay-for-Pay.

And on the subject of feminine guys, I have a serious question that I really hope doesn't offend anybody. Why do so many feminine guys have girly voices? It's something I've always been curious about, is it intentional? Is it a brain thing or is it something develops over time or something else?

I'm a wee bit on the femme side (as in my speech is very effeminate) however I am not fabulous by any means (no designing, no hair or nails, etc) I'm not very big into "cloning" (getting with someone who is basically the same as yourself) but I have been attracted to femmes who were like myself, but I do like masculine guys NOT straight acting guys; I don't get aroused by the idea of my boyfriend going down on a woman :(

straight and straight acting are two different things.

straight means you fuck women.
straight acting means you don't display traits that are indicative of a feminine male.

it's not a great term but it's essentially the same as masculine.

How are those not your words? You were asked when athletic competition is a measurement of masculinity and you said it pretty much always has been and it shows by looking at how much sex masculine guys get.

um...has it occured to you that MOST guys like femininity (women)?

Just because someone is gay does not mean they cannot still like that.
