  • Hi Guest - Did you know?

Matthew, Mark, Luke or John?

Of the people I know the hottest would be Luke and for the humourless religious nuts: "Good riddance"

I think this is totally inappropriate. Have you all lost all sense of decency?

the religious zealots say we are all going to hell for being queer so I guess we'll see ya later.

Guys making fun out of something sacred tisk tisk do any of you smell burning flesh yet?

That's the wrong John! John of Patmos had the revelations, not the Gospel writer.

sue me

im a muslim ;)

muslims are sposed to read the books of judaism and christianity, not know who wrote them

its easier for us... we have only one book and it has only one author....

wait

so the first pope didnt write the one that predicts the end of the world?

but it seemed so catholic a thing to do

im confused

Much simpler, a sort Judaeo/Christianity Lite, perhaps? :D

The first 'Pope' was supposedly Peter; he didn't write a gospel*.

*Well, at least not one that was included in the NT; someone called 'Peter' did however write a non-canonical gospel.

well what did the first john do?

was he the guy with the three cocks crowing?

The three cocks thing was Peter as well, if I remember correctly.

The first John was the one that Jesus 'loved' ...apparently.

well so the first pope was the guy that denied christ three times?

oooof

thats one hell of a way to get started

so who is john then

^
I'll leave it up to the Christians to answer any further questions; my replies are unlikely to be accepted as being doctrinally correct. :D

Patrick, Patrick

your confusing your Auntie Mame

Hard call. Not Matthew. He was a sycophant of Peter, and the most dubious of the four. John was a good writer, and as noted earlier, loved by Jesus. Luke was the intellectual, and the best writer of the bunch. Mark was far and away the worst writer. That poor guy couldn't pass a third-grade essay test. But he did understand the value of brevity, and there's a certain beauty to his writing that I always found appealing. So I guess it'd be between Luke and Mark.

First John was the Baptist wasn't he? Too many Johns, spoiled for choice so I'll piss in a bucket.

No thanks, i want James

Jesus was lucky to be surrounded by all those men all the time, but in the end it killed him.
