Good job by the Mav
George tried hard to knock him down, knock him out - he finally gave up - wonder if he'd be so tough with his old boss' wife - nah
McCain kept the interview going - made his points about the economy, Iraq, Obama, taxes plus
really good - worth a listen
McCain in short - hit it outa the park
good points included:
1 - countered the WP story this am "mccain - question of temperament" - georgy try as he might did not lay a glove - it's funny lotta JUBBERs are sooooooooooooo angry yet McCain being angry about pork barrel spending is somehow a bad thing - yeesh
2 - he supports continuing the tax cuts now - didn't support them back then - his whole pt is that spending is what's important - and he's gonna cut wasteful govt spending - says he will find $100B "tomorrow" in cuts
3 - he doesn't want the govt running health care - wants individuals and families to make the calls
4 - ripped Obama on Mr. Ayres - who obama has not condemned - the guy is not unrepentent about the bombings - obama then compared ayres (terrorist) to senator tom coburn - wow - coburn is a dr. as well as senator - mccain talked to reconciliing with anti war faction and vietnamese - obama is friends with ayres while he was unrepentent about his activities - georgy was speechless - mccain says that borders on outrage - georgy says obama says he doesnt' agree with comments - mccain says then why not condemn?
5 - georgy says hagee is like ayres (kinda) - mccain says he condemns the anti catholic church comments - but is not willing to reject his endorsement - admires his advocacy for israel +
6 - georgy says dems say a vote for mccain is a vote for war with iran - mccain says he has spoken to french/british leaders - get democratic nations (league of democracies) together to sanction iran - says iran's economy blows - that the russians have blocked sanctions
7 - mccain says iraq if we left would get worse and we'd have to go back - and it would be worse - its not about the time we spend there (100 yr comment) but the casualities incurred - says he was the first to knock bush/rumsfeld strategy - says things r getting better
oh well - take a looky see
