Have you listened to them? That dude needs help...he's fucking losing it. I've got to admit though...I've had a good laugh over these rants...the angrier he got the harder I laughed. He's a psycho...that's the bottom line, IMO.

Anyway, what are you thoughts on it?

I think those were persoanl conversations that should have remained personal.

To me, it seems as if the woman set him up,and deliberately tried to anger him ,so she could play innocent victim.I don't trust this bitch or her motives.

Even his ex wife says he never laid a hand on her.But this new wife routinely gets the shit knocked out of her? I don't believe it. She a gold digger. As for him being psycho,maybe he is, but that's none of my business. I don't think the whole word should have a front row seat to his arguments with his partner..

I'm pretty sure,at one time or another, whether they were right or wrong,everybody here has flipped out on somebody.I know I have.But I've already been told , I'm a psycho too..I don't think so.I just avoid people that make me want to throw them down a flight of stairs.

if the phone call wasn't being recorded, the responses and tone of the woman wouldn't have been what we heard. she was recording the call, and thus controlled her side of the conversation 100%. there's no doubt his rants are completely inappropriate and probably show he needs some professional help, but this woman is an absolute cunt for doing this to him.

Agreed. For the safety of all DV victims, I don't think any threat made against a woman's life by her husband should ever remain "a personal conversation." Some things should never be said, and once they are, they can't be taken back.

I agree with Knucklehead. Mel was setup. His sister-in-law "leaked" the tapes.

I agree with that. Perhaps she had a right to be pissed/scared and record the conversation but she should've indeed gone to the police instead of the tabloids...even though I suspect this would've found its way to the tabloids eventually anyway.

some of the edited spoof tapes made are pretty funny. Christian Bale and Mel having a phone call.
Solo either one of these guys tantrums makes me laugh. Gibson gets so wound up he starts panting like a little 6 yr old who didn't get his way.

What makes you think the breakdown is new and not something he has been dealing with for years?

Even though I don't exactly wish him harm...I don't exactly pity someone so bigoted and aggressive as he apparently is either. I do pity him for being ignorant...maybe his ignorance is the genesis of his mental condition.

It's not the first time he's been in trouble and shown his aggressive side.


But at times I could NOT help but laugh...sometimes he'd sound like a dog with rabies talking about getting head from her backstabbing friend. LOL
He's got issues, that's a given, so he needs to sort them out ASAP.


Anyhow, laughter can be healing. Learning how to laugh at things, even if they're serious, can be a good coping mechanism. Everything has a deeper serious side to it so...what can we laugh at? Nothing? Learn to laugh and you'll see the difference. If you take everything seriously you'll lose your mind. Laughing is a good way to take the pressure off.

It could be just as funny without his current mental state...like the Alec Baldwin call to his daughter calling her names. I don't think he was having a mental breakdown, he was just pissed and it was still funny as hell.

I just hope he gets to a point, both mentally/emotionally, where he can look back at this and laugh at it. At the time you don't think is funny but later you tend to find it funny. It works that way for me, anyway. I've done a lot of things when I had some issues and even now that I'm going through a really bad time of my life, I still manage to laugh at myself and my situation...it's my way of getting through stuff. As you basically said, and it is true, people have different ways of reacting and coping.

Everyone has their own issues so if you, sometimes, can't laugh at those issues, what's there to laugh about? I much rather laugh (which doesn't mean I don't take it seriously) than perceive everything as really really serious, dark, gloomy and be depressed. But that's my way of dealing with things...you clearly disagree, which is fine by me since everyone has their way of dealing with stuff and you can't please everyone (and I'm done wasting my time trying so...).

I didn't look at it from that angle, but you have a great point. She's not really innocent in this.

She's a bitch for going public with this. It sounds as if she did this for revenge.
But as someone pointed out, we don't know everything about this, the context so...there's a lot we're not aware of.
