It is as "natural" as homosexuality. So this hypocricy and "ewww's" are nothing more then ignorant banter.

The act does not fit into what I would describe as "obvious logic", but neither does homosexuality. Penis goes in vagina, things line up, so homosexuality doesn't make sense in that aspect. But the world isn't so simple where obvious logic works all the time. We have many other components that have to be there, that many times aren't looked at in a good light, that serve as important function.

IMO, any social interaction has potential for sexual intercourse. (and obviously that would include family)

Now in terms of psychology, good/bad. IMO these interactions can only be bad.

In that sense, there is where we can claim that it may not be "natural". But natural is not a great word because natural to me is anything that is occuring. (and that is) We like to claim positive things are natural but when you really think about, natural means things that are occuring.

The biggest problem with incest would be a major re-definition of the relationship which would greatly impact what we know as family. At least what we know as family. We like to think of family as people who are there for us REGARDLESS of anything, unconditional love. You need something, they are there for you. A big part of this unconditional love is there because the definition of family is all about standards and taking care but never crossing the line. That means not getting violent with your family, instead taking care of them. It is all about moderation, to develop a neutral, well rounded individual, who can see all sides and make wise decisions.

When sex gets thrown in the equation, feelings that were never there will be there. Then you would begin treating family like you treat a bf/gf. What do you think about when you are emotional about a significant other? You wonder if they are cheating, you wonder if they love you, you do things to get sex. You start having that with a family member and all of the sudden the uncoditional love is out of the window and you have feelings there which describe a lot of other relationship types. It complicates a relationship that doesnt' really need that.

If you were to argue about this you can say that people cheat in families, that there is a lot of violence in families, etc etc, so why would this just not be one of those things. I guess its all about choices and deciding if that is a risk worth taking.

I think some of us are going seriously off-topic.

This thread wasn't started on the topic of imbreeding between family and relatives or brothers falling in love.

Having sex can mean a lot of things. Jacking off together, oral, and anal or any form of sexual activity. Seriously, for those who had brothers growing up, you guys have never engage in any form of sexual activity while growing up? I'm not talking about falling in love. I'm talking about playing around sexually.

For those who doesn't have a brother, you can say you are disgusted by it. That is fine, because everyone can have their own opinion. It is still NOT okay to say that is wrong.

And to point out another concern about watching porn movies dealing with incest.
Why shouldn't men be excited to that? Why not? It is still sex isn't it? Everyone have their own taste of sexual excitement.

The last time I checked, a pervert mean someone who practices perversion. In this case, someone who practices in sexual perversion: a sexual practice or act considered abnormal or deviant. This defination fits with homosexual having gay sex as well, which is still being considered by society as not normal.

Hey guys...taking a break from the "other" thread with which I have been so preoccupied as of late, I want to offer this just to clarify:

There is REAL incest porn in the gay world. I know for CERTRAIN that the Bartek (Bartok?) twins are in fact twins and did "go all the way" with eachother at least once on film. My sentiments exactly! Incest protects against inbreeding as mentioned before, and I agree that it isn't right in the heterosexal context. But same sex incest is a case where the rules don't apply, since bloodlines do not need to be protected from the expression of harmful recessive traits. As long as there's no cheating involved I say let people enjoy each other. I think it's safer than anomynous sex, which I'm certainly guilty of. To answer the question, only one of my 3 brothers is hot, Don't know how he got so lucky. But he is very str8 and I would never feel right approaching him in any sexual way. It's true: incest can increase the risk for genetic damages.
But: Condamning someone else's decision to give birth to a possibly retarded child is not only bigoted, it's disgusting near to the wish of euthanasia.
The prohibition of sex between near relatives is motivated through the fact that in most of the occuring cases only one of the two persons involved acts of his own will. Law has to take care of the defenseless.

I have no brothers, just a sister. I wouldn't want to have sex with her for many reasons.
If I had a brother, he was gay and wanted me to play with him... propably I'd say yes depending on whether I find him attractive or not.

When two brothers want to have sex with each other: why not, when they both act voluntarily. I don't see anything disgusting with that.

True. To me, I feel that the only people that can criticize about this are those who have done it personally themselves. Those who haven't does not have the right to say to others what they are doing/did is wrong.

Opinions like being disgusted are fine. Calling others sick or crazy is not.
