The statement I bolded applies to any parents. It's not like only people in incestuous couplings carry recessive genes. But, imbreeding does tend to magnify the effect of recessive genes on the short term. Some species have very little genetic variation while others have a lot.
One of my college buds, who happened to become an M.D., also ended up having six kids (GORGEOUS, Ginger, Irish Catholic wife).
Their first born, a son, was born with C.F. (Cystic Fibrosis). Though he wasn't expected to survive his teens, Bill made it to 28. He was an all around AWESOME Guy! Eagle Scout, Life Guard, CPA, avid Fisherman and Hunter, PLUS Funny as all "Heck"! He also managed to marry one of the most Fantastic girls I've ever met!
Their second born, also a son, was born with CF, too. Unfortunately, Brian didn't make it to his third birthday.
The rest of their kids, 2 girls, and 2 boys, turned out "normal". Well ... as "Normal" as they could be, given their parents!
Not sure how this thread has morphed into a discussion about genes, and possible mutations. The thing is though, some genetic combinations, even though Not incestuous, can result in "less than desirable" results.
Thankfully, Brothers "doing" Brothers can NOT possibly result in offspring, "normal" or otherwise, Period!
Therefore ... Let the FUN continue!
Yeah! There are other emotional, family, and social considerations. Butt ... I don't see Any NATURAL reasons for Brothers, Male Cousins, or other Male relatives, or Females with Females, to not Enjoy sexual experiences with each other.
Just more reasons to ... No Matter What ...
Keep Smilin'!!
