I think the only two Democrat Presidential Candidates that actually favored Gay Marriage were Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel. Ron Paul was the only one on the GOP side that said that Gay Marriage was a States issue and saw no reason why they shouldn't be allowed to get married, if the states deemed it legal.

Yet on Monday, the Supreme Court rejected a gay Ohio soldier's challenge to the law — with the legal backing of none other than the Obama Administration.

He said he wanted the legislature to review it but what better venue IF he really wanted that legislative review than to allow his desire to remove DADT as one tier of Govt and then force thru Judicial decision the legislative review of the errant DADT policy.

I agree with you. It wasn't my intention to suggest that Obama should get credit for advancing gay civil rights simply because they happened on his watch and without his support. And I also agree that, although it probably is too soon to tell, given everything else going on, his gay track record so far is pathetic.

The point remains that there's a world of difference between, on the one hand, opposing gay marriage period and, on the other hand, not supporting marriage, but supporting civil unions with all the rights and benefits of marriage.

And anyone, who can't grasp that, better get those implants going, because, like the ex-Miss California, their intellect isn't going to do it for them. LOL.

When I watched Miss USA and saw her answer this question, I honestly didn't think it would be this big of a deal. I even figured that would be her answer. she seemed like the christian/conservative type. I wasn't surprised at all. I don't see why she has to be dethroned if it really was because of the answer she gave. she has a right to her opinion. We talk about stopping the hate towards gay people yet when someone isn't on our side, we automatically throw hate at them. We can't expect acceptance from others when we don't give it in return.
