Jeez, some of you people have no respect. He may have been odd but he didn't seem like a bad person.

Even if Jesus Christ himself came down from heaven there would still be blogs and people hating on him. If you don't like to hear about MJ, turn your TV off or read the paper to get your news.

I find American reaction to his death somewhat hypocritical, frankly. America is the one country that truly abandoned him after all the allegations started to emerge. Other countries stuck by him but in America he became a pitiful joke who could no longer sell records. He was shunned.

Now look. He's being paraded as a Godlike figure. Where were all these stars when he needed public support? Now they wanna jump on his death bandwagon and get some free publicity?

Truth is, America didn't give a fuck about him anymore and probably never would have in the future. So he will not really be missed in his home country because I dont think Americans felt he had anything else to offer. Apart from bizarre news stories, of course.

I agree. The American public and media are some of the biggest hypocrites and leeches.

Keyword. Nobody really knows for sure if he's a pedophile. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't.

My point was that anyone who is talked about in the media is always criticized negatively, regardless of who they are.

3. Reading the paper probably won't help get you away from Micheal if you wanna learn about the news in the world, not just in your county. And if you're in Cali, reading the paper won't help anyway...

You can simply choose NOT to read the article on Michael or turn the TV channel.

I was a Freshmen in high school (well, just about to enter my Freshmen year that summer) when this whole mess got started -- and I didn't believe it then.

I would be on the train of Too Little, Too Late as well... except I do see one positive from this. It shows that Michael, despite all of his eccentricities, knew his truth and didn't stop doing what he knew to be true, which was care about children.

This saddens me.

Did he really sexually abuse those kids? Would he have shelled out 10s of millions if he hadn't?

He would have had to shell out tens of millions either way. It was either a long, drawn out trial with escalating attorney fees, or just settling. I'm pretty sure he took the easier option.

Greed drives people in this country, you can't look me straight in the face and tell me that the parents of those "molested" children had only the purest of intentions and were solely thinking of their childrens well-being, not the money that could be gained from such a trial against a notable public figure like MJ.
