Re: Michael Jackson

I downloaded a Blu-Ray copy of Moonwalker it looks fucking amazing and its been remastered in DTS so the music videos of Speed Demon and Leave Me Alone sound absolutely perfect!

I always listen to his music with really good headphones and they sound so clear, just wish that they could remaster some of his Demos like Sunset Driver.

Re: Michael Jackson

Now now boys, calm down. Everyone is entitled to believe whatever nonsense they like. Jackson was a seriously-disturbed individual - and with parents like his, who's surprised - who mutilated himself for unknown reasons, and allowed his quack doctor to kill him. I pity his poor children, in the clutches of that disgusting monster of a grandfather, whose only aim is to exploit them and his dead son to promote himself.

How the hell can I do that with moonwalker? I'd LOVE that in HQ!

Re: Michael Jackson

I mean how did you put it on a bluray disk?

Someone encoded it to where it would fit on a 4.3GB DVD, and file type was MKV. It still retained its 720p picture and DTS audio. Well can't blame me for downloading it, Region Blu-Rays don't seem to work on PS3 systems so I can't import it, and its not being sold in the U.S. for some unknown reason.

What I did to get it playing on my PS3 was I had it on my computer, I used PS3 Media Server and streamed it through there. Though I did copy the movie file to my PS3 hard drive so I can watch it without turning on my computer. See I am hoping that Warner Bros thinks of the investment in Moonwalker and release it here in the U.S. so people like me don't have to download it. Plus the case looks sweet.

Re: Michael Jackson

Damn that sounds complicated, I may have to stick with my VHS copy and youtube lol

See I tried my best to enjoy my VHS copy but it broke and so I didn't have any kind of actual copy of it until now, Blu-Ray always satisfies my needs for HD quality.

Re: Michael Jackson

Okay, getting back on topic... lol

I feel the same way about Michael Jackson's death today as I did when it happened one year ago.

The world lost one of the greatest performers and artists to ever walk this planet. One of the greatest humanitarians, too. I mean, the stuff he did for children and the world is amazing. He holds the world record for the pop star who supports the most charities.

He was truly a good person...

I feel a little guilty. I think we are all to blame a little for his demise. Dr. Murray is being set up as a scapegoat. Michael, his family and his fans failed him.

I agree, I felt that with all that hate he got for the trial and shit a couple of years ago that it made him afraid to go back to doing music, going back into hiding. But it took a lot of guts for him to make that come back tour because it would be scary to go back and not have that same feeling of when he was a huge hit. I am sad he never had a chance to start the come back tour and be a big hit again with his music.

Re: Michael Jackson

Michael was (as my mother would say) a man with a lot of talent but a lot of problems. He spent most of his life creating his own version of the world to live in, and every step of the way, it became more and more impossible to get him out of it. To lay the blame for his death on one man is to greatly over-simplify what was going on. Removing the doctor from the equation may have made him live longer...or perhaps not. He may have found another doctor who would've killed him quicker. This isn't to absolve the doctor of all blame, but just to see it for the complex thing it really was.

Someone once suggested that Michael Jackson's best numbers always seemed to be paranoid anthems, and I think there's some truth to that. Maybe because that's where he felt the most connection (more so than in generic love songs, say), but he did seem to connect really well on songs like that.

Michael never struck me as a great ballad singer. Not that his ballads were necessarily bad - I like "Human Nature" and "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" just fine - but he rarely seemed to really connect with me on that level. Here's perhaps the sole exception.

Re: Michael Jackson

I was on Amazon last week lookin for something to buy and I saw This Is It on there so I decided to get. Im glad I did. I got the DVD today and watched it. The footage they got was amazing. It's so sad that he wasnt able to do any of the concerts. You can definitely see his personality shining through. He did everything with love <3

Ever since the French government took up Roman Polanski's "cause".

And by the way, we live in a system of laws and courts. And the courts found that he didn't break any laws.
