Those people are horrible parents and sociopathic freaks. Craving attention and getting it by having babies that you then put on display like some warped living doll collection is worse than child abuse. Acting like its "other people" who count her kids is absurd. "other people" don't force them onto The Today Show to silently pose for the cameras like zombies or star in a TV show called "look at all the living dolls I have that have to care for each other since I'm too busy giving interviews" or something.

I feel sorry for the human beings they hoard. A miscarriage is a horrible thing for sure. Just know that the unborn child is much better off.

The human body isn't meant to have that many children, your body can only produce so much calcium and other building blocks to create and extra body inside your own.

And child birth after 40 is always dangerous.

But I doubt she gives a shit and is LOVING All the press and attention and out-pouring of "sympathy" over the loss of the unborn child. She's probably already gearing up for the next one.

She probably just realized how she should have started miscarrying years ago... Less work, more sympathy.

My first thought...is why are they "reporting" this shit as if it's some very important news that the nation must know about? Aside from Duggar and her family, why are we to give a fuck? The woman nearly has twenty children. Maybe you're done. It's sad...but a major news event it is not.

I don't get why some people are so fascinated with them anyway.

They've probably already contacted a script writer for their movie of the week about it and in talks for the Two-Hour episode where they bury the fetus.

I agree that a miscarriage is nothing to be mocked. However, these people are disgusting. They used to seem somewhat genuine and were kind of interesting in a super-religious train wreck kind of way. But then they started to like the all of the attention they got from TLC and the Discovery Health Channel and I fully believe the last five children or so have been solely for that attention.

And then she goes around telling people that her older children raise the younger children, and that her children are "mothering" her as if that's a good thing.

I guess she doesn't have time to actually be a mother since she spends all of her time being a baby factory.

These Mormons are the same folks who oppose any gay rights and excommunicate their gay sons when they come out.

Although if I was a gay man in a family like this, I wouldn't wait for them to kick me out -- I would flee as soon as I could.

I couldn't help being saddened when I heard this right now from this thread, even though I don't know why.

When I made that thread a few weeks back about her expecting her 20th child, I had a sneaking suspicion that it might end like this. The pattern with her last few seems to have gone from a slightly premature one, to a severely premature one that barely survived, to now a miscarriage.

Clearly her ability to bear children is winding down and has now reached its limit due to her age.

What I wonder now is whether they'll get the hint, and call it a day, and be happy with their 19 kids, or whether we'll now witness a rather sad and unfortunate string of successive miscarriages from her.

I've always sort of pitied Michelle Duggar. She seems like one of those women who peaked in high school (popular, cheerleader, etc.) and then couldn't cut it in the real world. So she marries Jim Bob, they have their first miscarriage, and he uses the guilt to trap her in this misogynist and hateful lifestyle.

She seems like she's been really spaced out on anti-anxiety meds on the show, and her husband is a narcissist with religious delusions. And if he manages to kill her with one of these pregnancies, he'll just swap her out for a new model.

Granted, she is an adult and should be able to make better choices. But I feel like Jim Bob should also step back and make the real, Christian decision to get a vasectomy and stop being a God Emperor in his own home.

(Who I really feel sorry for are those daughters who have been raising their siblings, to the exclusion of any education or life outside their family. Nobody seems to be thinking about them at all.)
