Aside from Grace Kelly, I don't really see the vocal similarities to Freddie Mercury...When Mika does manage to sound like Freddie, I don't really think he's doing it on purpose so much as thats just how he sounds, because Mercury's voice is probably the most difficult to (successfully) imitate.

That said, I love his CD, and I had it playing non-stop when it first was released. ..|

CAN'T WAIT FOR FRIDAY!!! I saw Mika last summer and now again on Friday! It's such a fun show...ugh...I wish I could skip over Thursday...lol

He's a good artist, indeed - Great catchy pop songs, without a doubt.
I enjoy his album; It's an impressive collection of songs (for what it is).

There are some great remixes also. ..|

I do not dislike Mika... what I do dislike is how that disgusting freak Perez Hilton doesn't speculate over his sexuality but demands people like Anderson Cooper and Jodie Foster to come out.

Needless Mika promotes Perez's hypocrisy machine so I will kindly pass on supporting him.

same here, "Grace Kelly" is a fav,. The CD is one of the best I`ve bought
2007.., yep, I still buy my music and movies I like...;)

Has his album only recently become popular in the US. I was already anticipating his next album. Either way i totally love Mika, as for gay or not, I didn't even think there was a debate about that, i just took for granted that he is.

OMG...

MIKA is fucking brilliant. His music is, hmmm FUN FUN FUN! I just saw him in Philly the other week as well and had a blast. You can check out his performance of Love Today at my myspace page below.

He was on the cover of Instinct last year here in the States and it was inconclusive as to what he was. Straight? Bi? or Gay? But with songs like Billie Brown, Lollipop, etc. it does make you wonder.

Either way, I am looking forward to his 2nd album. :gogirl:

I don't find him particularly original, because I hear the Bee Gee's and Queen in his songs, but I do think he's very fun, and his music is good and old-fashioned. so I like him a lot. :)

Hopefully, he and Chris Green can exploit their YouTube fame.
