Miley Cyrus -- Party in the USA [merged]

Okay, I admit that I never heard of Miley Cyrus until last year. When I found out who she was (on various TV interviews) I hated her. I thought her speaking voice was annoying, and it seemed like she was so cocky. Basically, I never had a reason to like her.

Lately, she's been on a Wal-Mart commercial featuring her clothing line and there's this really catchy tune. Turns out that the song is called "Party in the USA." The song recently made headlines due to her risque performance at the Teen Choice Awards.

Anyways, it's not that bad... Definitely not a groundbreaking pop record, but good enough for me to listen through it. I'm pretty surprised, honestly.

The song is one of her better ones, but the "party in the USA" kills it. Don't like her voice at all. She won't fade away though, she's the new Britney Spears

Southpark did an episode where they made her the new Britney Spears lol


They photographed Britney to death to reap the corn harvest and then set their sights on Miley as the next princess of pop.

Wow Disney is smart.

They are realizing that that annoying stupid beat with a pop sound that is slightly hip hoppish is what teens really crave.

At least they have mostly left that stupid fake techno synth shit. Nothing wrong with techno and synth except when Disney does it.

They really do know how to market. It really does sound like the other crap on "AMERICAS TOP HITS" or Whatever the fuck is on the top music list that is really bad and only hits for the mainstream.

But yes it sucks. But of course people enjoy it and it's going to make Disney lots of money and going to stay from the charts for a while.

Thoughts on Miley Cyrus

Alright so I used to hate Miley Cyrus during her 14 year old stage with big gums, crooked teeth, bad hair, and pregnancy rumors then after that I started watching her show with my niece and I started liking it. Now I'm a fan of her and her music. I know some of you must be like, wow he has the worst taste haha.

But really we've all seen Miley grow up from 14 and now soon to be 17, but I watched her new music video "Party in the USA" and a performance of the song of her tour Wonder World. I was left with my mouth open (nothing perverted). I know that her contract with Disney is over (or soon to be) but wow she is really trying to break away from her Disney character and image, I guess like Britney did in her early career too.

I'm usually not shocked or stunned when I see artist do something to stir up controversy or put on a show but for Miley, she is 16 years old and the way she danced really worried me because I realize that she is now going to be using sex to sell at such a young age.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a conservative person and I've backed up a lot of irrational behavior from other stars (like the Britney meldown, Christina dirty era, Vanessa nude pics lol), but Miley is growing up FAST.

She is going to have a whole new set of fans, and thats probably her goal too.

Well I've always loved Miley, there are a hell of a lot of kids who also love and also hate her (because of Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato drama ugh). But I don't think she's growing up to fast because kids these days look like 30 yr olds and 16 year old girls dress way more slutty than Miley...

I know there are a ton of worse things that kids her age are doing but she is in the public eye and her image is at stack by her behavior. I don't have a problem with her growing up it just that it sad that she has to resort to that type of thing, kinda. Idk its hard to explain since I love her and I don't want to come off as being conservative thats far from what I am but man when I saw her bend over a little I was like GASP, I wouldn't want my niece at her concert watching that.

She's about as bad as Taylor Swift when it comes to technical proficiency, but Swift actually has something interesting to say, and can actually muster up some emotion in her performances.
