  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Mindless Destruction . . . and Fun!

But on the positive side, if any stupid people mishandle Thermite, they are not likely to reproduce.

Anyone smart enough to know Bond is fantasy and YouTube is to be imitated really isn't the fault of YouTube. Even small children know fire is dangerous. No need to ban matches.

That's real thermite? How did he get it and where?
The dude looks kind of neat with that tie though

The damage was totally consistent with the impact of thousands of tons of steel falling 1300 square feet. It was referred to as God's Firehouse because of all the metal crosses from the adjacent tower.

By the way. All the damage was inward in this building, there was no outward trajectory.

So no. The guy with no education in the behaviour of structural failure, the tin foil hat and a Youtube account is not correct. It was not destroyed by Thermite. Nor were any of the other towers.

The thread is still about the penchant boys, grown or otherwise, have for blowing things up. The Thermite Launcher is but a stellar example. Guys love to be close enough to feel the blast but not the burn.

Foolhardy? Yes. Typical? Dat too.

Nothing to enjoy.
Just a stupid kid acting stupid. If he is hot and doing naked, maybe ....

Colin Furze and his Thermite Launcher -- every fourth-grader's dream come true.

Enjoy!

We used to have a hell of a time lighting magnesium strips. You'd get a brilliant white burn. Where was thermite when i was a kid

We used to also cut the heads off of wooden matches and pack them into a tennis ball, add a wick(out of our model rockets) and throw them at each other. It doesn't take youtube to make kids do stupid things and it also doesn't mean we were stupid. I'd say unsupervised and adventurous, but not stupid.

Oh yeah and a model rocket engine stuck upside down in a mud pit makes an incredible crater  man the things we did as kids

...hilarious....

M80s in red ant hills.

Take a hollow fence post a tad smaller than a soup can. Stuff one end in the ground. Light M80 and drop down the pipe. Pop can over pipe end. BOOM! Then listen carefully for the can to hit the pavement (at least a block away). After that, run like hell and hide because somebody's going to call the cops.

I like idyllic, peaceful things...

but icky creatures are my bias, this one always get my blood gurgling

It is amusing to see the video author term that a "huge" wasp nest. Really?

See comparable below, the BBC of nests:

An eye for an eye.

The coalition strike on Kobani in Syria— a stronghold for the Jihadis who want us dead and are prepared to use any means to do so.

^ As usual, Grimshaw doesn't get the point of a thread.

Or is he saying that the 'coalition' strike against ISIS is mindless destruction?
