Hurry back Dustin. (*8*) We'll keep a candle, I mean a Prince, in the window so you'll find your way home. ;)

Prince Eric, "The Little Mermaid."

Well isn't he just beautiful! :)

Hi guys.

My initial thought was that I would take a break until after I returned from vacation, August 24th.

I thought I would be beyond busy until then, quite honestly!

Well it turns out that only some people need to follow deadlines, so I can't get to my work on time.

I'm beyond upset again. If I had another screwdriver to throw at my TV, I would do it.

Then again, I would end up with yet another broken TV! Still have to pick up a new one at some point.

Problem, naturally, is money. Didn't plan on buying a television set right now.

I've talked to my mother, and she has recommended the name of a therapist.

I may need to heed her advice on this one.

Anyway, took the television down since I can't use it.

Might not be until December before I get a new one.

Peace,
D.

Nice looking eye-candy, Dustin.

They can raise and lower the blood pressure at the same time - well, at least redirect the pressurized flow, lol.

Seriously, I'm sorry people you need to depend on for inputs to your work are dropping the ball.

*boing*. ;). ......

Perverts! :D

Thanks. It's just frustrating. I have to follow my deadlines, but they don't need to follow theirs?

Guess that's what I get for being higher than some on the totem pole?

Thanks, Greg. (*8*) Hugs for you, too. :)

I should be in bed soon. I'm trying to get to the office earlier these days.

Summer audit season and all that good stuff.

It's just a good thing I love what I do, or I'd be out of there so fast!

Gotcha. Yeah, there are definitely bad days in my line of work, too.

Overall, though, I love what I'm doing, and the clients that I'm working with. I think that makes all the difference, too!

Yes, sir.

I'm afraid I must be off to bed now, though. Work comes sooner than I wish for it too.

Good night, Greg and all. (*8*)

Dustin, you probably won't read this until tomorrow, but I will write this while I think of it. You seem to me to be the kind of person who benefits from structure because your mind is organized that way. It doesn't mean you are always organized, but you need order in your day. I don't know what kind of control you have over your work schedule or day, but if you, then mark your day off in blocks of time. As an accountant you probably already do that. The problem arises when something or someone disrupts your time, throwing your off schedule. If your job allows you the freedom to stop others from doing that, you should do it. In the long run, you will be far more productive. Nothing is more rewarding than being able to check something off your list as DONE.

For your personal life, two things are key, in my opinion: sleeping and eating. Keep regular schedules for both. Over the weekend, you overslept you said. This can be as frustrating as not getting enough sleep. If you want to be asleep by 11, then turn off your computer and everything else at 10. Allow an hour before getting into bed to let your mind wind down. Maybe some relaxing, non-depressing music and a light snack like lean chicken, turkey, milk.yogurt or fruit. Nothing heavy. You mentioned before that you are not consistent in your eating habits. You should make room for nutrition throughout your day rather than long periods of time without eating. It's important for everyone, but especially for those of us who are thin.
Structure in your professional life and in your down time is probably more important than you realize. You don't have to be a slave to a schedule, but I think some structure would suit you. I know because I know I need it too.

One other thing---I think you are very wise that you don't allow yourself to keep too much alcohol in your home. You know all the reasons for that.
