Hey Dustin. You still haven't smacked any of them around yet? I'm sure it would make you feel much better. Or better yet, have Darren smack them around, that way you'll still have a job. (*8*)

Dustin, you probably won't read this until tomorrow, but I will write this while I think of it. You seem to me to be the kind of person who benefits from structure because your mind is organized that way. It doesn't mean you are always organized, but you need order in your day. I don't know what kind of control you have over your work schedule or day, but if you, then mark your day off in blocks of time. As an accountant you probably already do that. The problem arises when something or someone disrupts your time, throwing your off schedule. If your job allows you the freedom to stop others from doing that, you should do it. In the long run, you will be far more productive. Nothing is more rewarding than being able to check something off your list as DONE.

For your personal life, two things are key, in my opinion: sleeping and eating. Keep regular schedules for both. Over the weekend, you overslept you said. This can be as frustrating as not getting enough sleep. If you want to be asleep by 11, then turn off your computer and everything else at 10. Allow an hour before getting into bed to let your mind wind down. Maybe some relaxing, non-depressing music and a light snack like lean chicken, turkey, milk.yogurt or fruit. Nothing heavy. You mentioned before that you are not consistent in your eating habits. You should make room for nutrition throughout your day rather than long periods of time without eating. It's important for everyone, but especially for those of us who are thin.
Structure in your professional life and in your down time is probably more important than you realize. You don't have to be a slave to a schedule, but I think some structure would suit you. I know because I know I need it too.

One other thing---I think you are very wise that you don't allow yourself to keep too much alcohol in your home. You know all the reasons for that.

You're absolutely right regarding structure. I need it; when I don't have it, I get thrown off in many ways, and it's not ever good! Hell I leave my alarm on when I'm on vacation. Okay, that may be a bit excessive, however it shows my point for needing structure. I hate deviating from my structure in any form. These last minute client meetings irritate the hell out of me, honestly. "Oh, well I can only meet on Thursday." Um. Thanks for giving me time to prepare considering that's TOMORROW! (Not in this case, clearly, just an example). Honestly, I'm not afforded an opportunity to really block off time at work. Things come in, and things get done in the order they were received. It's difficult working with six different clients to really "block things off," per se. When I return to being a Financial Manager again, I will be afforded the opportunity to work from home. This will allow for less interruptions for certain, and the ability to get things done on my own time. That may take a year or two to happen, though. I'm confident that it will, though.

I definitely did oversleep! Holy crap that was bad! :( Thing is I don't have anything else to do, so I generally sleep the weekends away. That's how wonderfully exciting I am. 11? Goodness me! I'm trying to get to sleep by 8! That means I've gotta log off by 7! Not sure how that would fly. Worth a try though for sure. I've been getting up at about 4:45 AM lately so as to get to the office by about 6. Gotta do the three "S"'s, you know. :D But I like my depressing music, dammit! :grrr: I usually listen to piano music before going to bed. Should I just sit in the dark?  Just kidding. I've been eating more yogurt lately for some reason, honestly. Honey, I ain't exactly as thin as I once was! You ain't seen me on that scale! Joking, but seriously my weight HAS been increasing. . . somehow. I honestly haven't really eaten out much lately either. PM me, I'll send you my personal budget if you don't believe me. I just wrapped up my July financial statements over the weekend. Too lates. Already a slave to SOME schedule. :)

I definitely agree with that statement. Trust me, I know it all too well! :) Back to having NO alcohol here. There was only wine for a matter of a few weeks and that's because we were using it on the boat. [-X:-$

Thanks for the post, sixthson. (*8*)

Good Tuesday Morning Dustin.

Hi, Billy. (*8*)

Morning Dustin

Hello, Russ. (*8*)

Hey Dustin (*8*)

Hi, Darren. (*8*)

Hey Dustin. You still haven't smacked any of them around yet? I'm sure it would make you feel much better. Or better yet, have Darren smack them around, that way you'll still have a job. (*8*)

Hi, Dan. (*8*) Nope, still haven't kicked their asses yet! Trust me, I'd like to! Some of the Managers, too! "FYI: Monday's Finance Committee Meeting was canceled, so we have a few more days." You fucker, when were you planning on telling me, the Ass Man (Assistant Manager) about that?! Ugh. I could smack a bitch so hard right now. (Forgive my language. :( )

I like that idea. Darren, you need to kick their asses because I really do need my job!

Hello Folks.

I have no reason to believe that my old thread will be re-opened.

Not by my choice, but I'm not sure what the mods are doing.

Perhaps a fresh start will do me good anyway.

For those curious as to what that means to me....

Define: "Fresh Start"
  • No Friends List
  • No Contacts
  • No Prior Personal Photographs

Define: "Online Home Thread"
As you all know, I spend a lot of time here on JUB, hence the name, "Online Home Thread." Nothing too fancy, but I'm running out of names at this point.

Thread Rules:
  • Respect One Another
  • {End of List}

* Posting of the following types of images is (are) strongly discouraged:
  • Fornication
  • Buttocks
  • Penile

Stating the above should avoid any doubt as to what the expectations are.

Best,
Dustin
