Good afternoon Dustin, it's Hump Day :sex:  (*8*)

Hi, Everyone.

Happy Hump Day, Dustin.

Good afternoon Dustin, it's Hump Day  (*8*)

I see you've taken Paul's place in terms of making me delete emoticons.

For some reason, I have always despised that term. It is NOT hump day.

I do not see it on a calendar, nor will I ever. Instead, I will see Wednesday.

The middle of the week. The third day of the work week. 60% of the week's work is done as of this afternoon.

Wednesday will never be Hump Day to me. I find it to be a ridiculous term, honestly. {End rant}

Let me just insert this here (like I haven't said that before): WTF is up with road construction???? Is it my imagination or is this the worst year ever in the history of mankind? It seems like every other road is barricaded, down to one lane or completely closed. My navigation system does a good job of rerouting me, but I swear sometimes the detour takes me though Kuala Lumpur via Ecuador and back through Singapore. I'm almost positive I had lunch in Bangladesh today.

At least I have dinner out on the patio to look forward to. Anyone up for grilled salmon and corn on the cob from my garden? (the corn, I mean, not the salmon). This day calls for an extra large Pomegranate juice on the rocks (I'm a wimp, so bite me!)

sixthson, road construction has been awful this year. Thankfully I am able to avoid a lot of it with where I live in relation to my office. When I travel to clients, however, is a different story, or even when I travel home to Mom and Dad's. I usually take Highway 3 to work - almost the entire way, so I avoid a lot of that crap.

Well shoot, I thought you meant you had the salmon fresh from the garden! Now I'm out for sure! I'm a whimp, too, sixthson.

Is it too late to have Scotty beam me up and over? Dinner sounds great.

Hard Winters translate to more roadwork.
Add in pre-election year - time to get everything fixed so the vox populi see the "nice" government working on their behalf as opposed to the crap roads. And it will be far enough in the past to be kind of like child birth - the joy of the outcome makes the pain of what you went through to get it fad away. Re-Elect Me NOW! lol.

Dustin,
I understand the "uphill battle" aspect that we face come Monday morning and the original intent of Hump day being where the weekend is closer to being at hand than the view in the rear view mirror. For that reason I can embrace the term.

Can I help it if Joe the Camel got carried away - and, well, what can you expect from pervs who frequent a porn site!

:D

I will never embrace such a moronic term. Wednesday will always be Wednesday, dammit! Hump someone else.

My Wednesday will be just that, thank you very fucking much.

Good to hear, Greg.

I'm looking forward to my vacation starting on August 14th at 3:30 PM.

I really need time away from work right now. It's been getting overwhelmingly busy, as you've noticed.

It will feel so nice to be at the lake again. I'm coming to love my parents' cabin!

I was driving home tonight from work (well from the mini baby shower after work), thinking how nice it would be to own a lakeshore property. Then again, think of the taxes and everything else on a place such as that.

More than anything, I was thinking of how much I desire tranquility in my life right now, and how that's merely not as possible as I wish it were! I know I need to make my own tranquility sometimes, but it's difficult with the hustle and bustle of every day life.

(Sorry, I rambled there. I have a tendency of doing that.)

[STRIKE]Happy hump day[/STRIKE]

More money, more problems. Property taxes, house upkeep, etc... But I guess worth it for some people

Dammit, Greg! I'm not afraid to smack a bitch! Kidding!

Very true, but it would get me out of these noise-filled apartments!

I've been living in apartments for a few years (not too long), and the neighbors annoy me most.

Plus the traffic outside, too. Would be nice to be able to come home and relax.

I'm not really able to do that with all of the damn noise, or not as much as I would like to.

Hell, I can't even crank up the music when I get home like I would enjoy doing! :D
