An email leaked reportedly show US presidents: Obama depicted as white eyes on black background.

Racist e-mail aimed at Obama raises hackles in Tennessee

From South Carolina up to Tennessee the Republicans are really showing their true thoughts on the issue of Pres. Obama's ethnicity. What is wrong with these fools? They aren't helping themselves at all. Too much Limbaughade they had this morning.

Somebody on a Senator's staff was responsible, not the Senator. She's been rebuked for being a dope, and that's that.

How can I not be surprised if republicans pull another stunt to show their racial offense towards President Obama, or Michelle Obama of that matter? This kind of behavior is the only proof to why Americans despise this party. Maybe they should look into their low public approval ratings and find out ways to redefine their image. I certainly hope these whackjobs diminish to a minority or become nonexistent. These fools are so crazy I don't understand how anybody with a brain still backs this party. They have become a joke in politics.

Ok, granted the Republican party has more than its fair share of racist bigots, I'm not saying all of them are cut from the same cloth, but two incidences within the same week of racist slurs that have Republican affiliation against the president and his wife. In a time of low approval ratings and out right derision, and during a time when America finally has the opportunity to get past any vindictiveness toward race tolerance, is actually trying to embrace it, and the Republican party is showing this kind of face? They need to do some damage control quick, and reconsidering.

This is who a lot of the republican party are. I don't want their insincere apologies. I just want them to continue to be marginalized. Shenanigans like this are contributing to their death.

Oh grow up and spoon a little honesty into your morning coffee, folks.

A lot of Republicans and a lot of Democrats have ugly thoughts and say ugly things and do ugly things. That includes blacks about whites, poor about rich, young about old, yada yada yada, and all of it vice-versa.

Human beings get hurt and frustrated and feel anger, it gets directed at others.

Welcome to the world. Stop pretending this or that person being ugly is unique to a particular poltical party. It's assinine.

And despite their promises of hope and unity and change, neither Bush nor Obama had or will have the slightest positive impact on it.

^Not the point. We very well understand human baseness. We are not attacking him for a mistake many people commit everyday, or that he is a Republican.

He is a Republican who has voiced his opinion that homosexuality and gay marriage is immoral. Than he is outed for being an adulterer, and a cheat. It's good these things come to light, and people can call them out on it. Human fallacy is a great equalizer.

You're just dishonest. Maybe with yourself first, but however your brain is working it, you're not being honest.

In the OP you wrote:

You are attacking him as a Republican and attacking Republicans in general for these two individual incidents, clearly implying "the Republicans" are racists.

And you're not alone.

How can I not be surprised if republicans pull another stunt to show their racial offense towards President Obama, or Michelle Obama of that matter?

Well, what do you expect from a party of militiaWOEmen and other freaks of natrure? Cowards one, cowards all.

This is who a lot of the republican party are.

Most of the posts in this thread identify Republicans as racist and attack Republicans as a group for this one (or two) individual incident. And you actually say you're (collectively) not attacking him as a Republican.

:rotflmao: Girl that was priceless. Maybe they'll stop when you stop pretending Obama is the worst thing to happen since the bubonic plague.

Listen snap queen in the pretty bow hat:

I'm a man, not a girl.

And your Dear Leader is looking worse by the day. Unfortunately for us all, it turned out I was right.

dead @ snap queen. you're fun. ..|

Anywho, I too have been disappointed with him lately but nothing to make him sleep on the couch over. We shouldn't pledge blind allegiance to him just because he's president but every time he breathes you prophecize the apocalypse.

PS Sorry for the minor hijack but it's not like this thread is about anything anyway.

^^ No, not the apocalypse. But this is a pivotal time, we have major direction-defining problem solving going on and Obama's not up to it. His economic stimulus wasn't good enough, his financial services responses aren't good enough, his health care legislation won't be good enough, and it goes on and on. Meanwhile he is piling on more and more debt that's going to further cripple us.

If he'd been President in the 90s it wouldn't have mattered so much but today it matters a lot.

It's not the end of the world, but on the heels of Bush it's going to be the end of life as we know it in America, and it didn't have to be that way.

I agree with Nick.

I hate how democrats are brought up whenever republicans are found to be hypocrites, cheats and racists. When is the last time a democrat has been caught up in a racist scandal?

But this thread isn't about democrats--it's about the racism being dished out by REPUBLICANS. And it's starting to happen on a near-daily basis.

It's always happened on a daily basis, from people with all kinds of ideology. Some instances have been publicized lately, that's the only difference.

Racism, misogyny, homophobia, ageism, all kinds of bigotry exists every moment of every day in the minds of millions of Americans (and others worldwide), and it gets expressed. Every day.

There have been a plethora of oh-so-outraged threads lately about Republicans. Someone could just as easily start a plethora of outraged threads about Democrats (this little outraged thread war began because of Letterman's comments about Palin's teenaged daughter). And to what end? So you can find a place to "legitimately" publicly express your hate and attach it to the opposition. It's more divisive destructive stuff, it's what Bush Republicans did and it's what Obama Democrats do. It's nothing but self-indulgent nastiness masquerading as reasonable indignation, and it's bad for all of us.

Don't try to make this issue trivial with the everyone does it attitude.

I'm not trivializing it, bub. These threads are.

I know right. Always...

Just like clockwork--every single time.

But this thread isn't about democrats--it's about the racism being dished out by REPUBLICANS. And it's starting to happen on a near-daily basis. That's the plain truth...

Huntneo...You don't get it do you? You're actually asking a White Gay Man like Nick why he's writing off the "racial attack"? A majority of White Gays don't care if Blacks get attacked in this way. They could care less and they basically stand on the side with Straight whites and say "It's no big deal, get over it"...End of story...

But when Blacks vote against Gay Marriage White Gays are outraged...Sorry but "Group Support' works both ways and a majority of White Gays have a History @ siding with Straight Whites when it pertains to "racism" being "Over-Blown' as they put it...

That's why I don't Blame the Majority of straight minority Groups for not standing with the Gay Community and their Fight for Gay Marriage....The Majority of White Gays don't give a Damn about any other groups struggling with issues but their own..The Gay Community appears to have a platform that don't or won't reach out to other groups and that is why the Majority of Straight Whites won't stand by them either...

It's interesting how NONE of the republicans on here are condemning the actions of the racist.

obama is half white and half black. he should have chosen to be white and keep the usa speculating as we do with american idols sexuality. ''are you white or are you black'' cause that is going to make a difference?

I didn't say "it's no big deal get over it."

You're hearing your own preconceived notions.

What I said is this happens every moment of every day, it's Republicans and Democrats, white and black, rich and poor, North and South. Millions of Americans have ugly thoughts and express them in emails, over the phone and across the dinner table. Every. Single. Day.

And it is not only Republicans or white gays and straights. You can pretend it is and get all outraged, then feel good about blacks helping to pass Prop 8, but it is a lie. Some blacks are very ugly about whites and some whites are very ugly about blacks. Not all on one side, some on both sides.

Some Democrats are ugly about "Republicans," as if being a Republican is evil. It is not. Some people who say or do bad things are Republicans, but not all Republicans are bad. You've got your definitions very badly screwed up.

But when Blacks vote against Gay Marriage White Gays are outraged...Sorry but "Group Support' works both ways and a majority of White Gays have a History @ siding with Straight Whites when it pertains to "racism" being "Over-Blown' as they put it...

This is over the top offensive. As a white gay man in the 1980s I spent countless hours hauling my ass into black and Hispanic neighborhoods where I clearly was not welcome by many, to help black and Hispanic people with AIDS who had been abandoned by their families and communities and friends. I wasn't alone, there were many white gays who did this. And to this day I'm more than willing to help out any way I can. I have never said or believed that racism is "over-blown," in fact I've said it remains a big problem that is much more widespread than the obvious instances like this that get used to make Republicans or some other group look bad. A lot of people who claim they're not racist and don't appear to be racist are, in fact, racist in secret, which impacts what's going on at least as much as overt racism.
