Mortal Kombat (2011)

lol to each his own....LONG LIVE THE QUEEN! Interestingly she's evil in this game :/ I wonder how that will affect her fighting style...

Sindel is my favorite character as well. She was the very first time I saw her in Mortal Kombat 3. I am happy to see her back in this remake and am even more happy to see her back rocking her classic look.

I bought it today. The X-Ray moves look absolutely brutal; sometimes, I cringe a little when I see them. The game definitely holds a lot of replay value with the many unlockables and the multiple modes. It's definitely a must-buy if you're a fan of the series; it also makes up for the last two trainwreck games that were released.

^I agree. Many of the x-rays are more brutal then the fatalities. Highly addictive game and am glad MK went back to it's roots.

Yes, I agree. The game not only mixes Part I, II, and III as far as the storyline, but it also fuses the gameplay styles. Of course, there's a little bit of the later games' styles as well, but it's predominately the first three.

I just finished story mode. I enjoyed it, although it became a little predictable what would happen towards the end. However, I won't spoil it for others who may purchase the game.

Yes, and thats why this game is in my top 3 Mortal Kombat games.

and hmm, I'm on the second part of story mode (the part that takes place during MKII), and I like it so far, but, even though it's predictable, was it good?

And also, can anyone help me with performing the fatalities? I have the Strategy Guide, with all the fatalities, but when I try to perform them, it doesn't work. Help?

It becomes predictable nearly 75% through the mode. When a certain person fails to change the outcome, it becomes apparent who would. The only thing I really hated about story mode is that I could not skip cutscenes.

I think the fatalities are rather easy. Maybe it's your input speed. There's a training tutorial for fatalities, or the initial fatalities for each person. If that doesn't help, if you go under the movelist and highlight the fatality, it shows the exact distance required.

If you want to skip the cutscenes, then what would be the point of story mode?

and thanks, I'll try that!

Yeah, some parts were predictable (like when you were attacked by the BUTT ASS NAKED MELINNA) but, I was not expecting

Shao Kahn to snap Kung Lao's neck after he fought Kintaro!
My jaw dropped.

I'm stuck on trying to beat Shao Kahn.

My jaw dropped just from reading that!!! DAMN IT I want this game, but I gotta wait till next week for payday

This game is soooo FUN! The online button delay is annoying but that's in every fighting game :/ Sindel is the fucking truth man! And her X-ray is soooo mean! Her fatalities are awesome although I wish one of them had something to do with her hair. And her babality is funny! I'm still getting combos down but she is def my best character and I doubt if I use anybody else lol

There's a part towards the end, where she comes in and beats everyones ass [brutally], in story mode. It's so crazy.

Does anyone else think this is the most intense story [mode] of them all? Like, damn. I'm pretty sure I'm on the last level, and this is crazy!

^ Is it a sucky cinematic?

Not at all. It's just, when you turn off the game, or quit story mode, when you start back up again, you have to watch the cut scene that introduces the fight against the character you were about to fight before you quit. Watching the cutscenes over can get repetitive.

Dude, me too! I haven't really tried the other features yet because I'm adamant on beating him... with no success. At this point I'm just playing for coins so I can unlock everything.

Sindel is the fucking truth man!

I usually play as Sonya so when I play against Sindel it's like being in a deadly gymnastics competition with all the cartwheels and front handspring walkovers, lol.
