Mortal Kombat (2011)

Dude, me too! I haven't really tried the other features yet because I'm adamant on beating him... with no success. At this point I'm just playing for coins so I can unlock everything.

I recently beat the whole story mode. But, the best way to beat him is to repeatedly with fireballs, while staying as far away from him as possible. Keep repeating until he's dead (set difficulty to beginner, and use your brutal special move everytime you get it).(!)

There's a part towards the end, where she comes in and beats everyones ass [brutally], in story mode. It's so crazy.

lol I know! That was my FAVORITE part of the entire story! Then she died :( And it took me 4.5hrs to beat shao kahn's bitch ass! I did the story on medium...never again will I do story as there are more achievements and nothing else to unlock. Fuck Shao Khan's near invincible ass!

On another note I'm pretty good with her and I haven't quite mastered her yet but I have some pretty sick combos that do about 24-42% :D Sindel can frustrate you to no end with her fireballs but her true power is when she gets you in the corner! It's really hard to play online though because of the dreaded button lag but meh I still have fun. Did you guys know that the secret -ality is the Babality? I did it accidentally with Sindel in the Ladder mode.

Yeah, I thought that was awfully ballsy of the MK creators to kill off that much important characters.

And then leave the sucky people alive! They don't have much of a cast left now...I can't wait to see what they do with the next MK...very curious indeed. But there's about 2 or more years before we can find out so..... lol

Yep, I knew that the day MK was released. It was all over websites. Plus, if you play through the Challenge Tower, it eventually becomes unlocked.

Not really. The ending made it seem like Raiden is going to restore the Earthrealm to its original state. Lui Kang is probably going to make a comeback, at least until Shang Tsung and Quan Chi kill him again.

I know, eh, I think it was an odd choice keeping Johnny alive, but Sonya, I definitely understand (and not just because she's my all time favorite character, haha).
(!)

My boyfriend and I were just talking about how this game has be the prettiest MK game ever -- great attention to detail with the characters, especially after a series of hits -- and feels like the ultimate one in the series. Can Warner Bros top themselves with another?

Thanks, keeping my distance helped. I finally beat the game playing the arcade/ladder mode with Sonya on medium (I basically defeated him by doing her arc kick over and over). I'm going to check out how story mode is later.

Ohhh, I just adore Sonya <3. Yeah, the only way I can defeat Shao Kahn is by doing your specials moves over and over. Cheap? Yes. But so is he, haha. You should definitely play Story Mode, it's great.

And btw, I love your avatar. I love Christopher Meloni!(!)

Do you fight against Kintaro in this game? He's listed as an unplayable boss but I have yet to see him.

Shao Kahn is a beast when he attacks, so happy there is a way easily to defeat him. I almost gave up on trying anytime soon, I've gotten into the habit of restarting once I reached Goro. Sonya is MK's Chun-Li, the original HBIC, always liked her too. :luv:

Thanks! Chris Meloni has the best ass I have seen in Hollywood, I bought Oz on DVD just for him (and Beecher loved their relationship).

Kintaro can be found in Story Mode and The Challenge Tower. He is also in Ladder mode, but I'm not sure if he only appears with certain characters. I fought him using Lui Kang and Kung Lao, in individual ladders.

I honestly do not find Shao Kahn to be challenging as far as having a strategy. He's just a little cheap and overpowered. His X-Ray is extremely damaging. Other than that, I think he's pretty easy since fireballs can affect him and he can be knocked down; in MK I to MK III, bosses could not be knocked down usually and fireballs were worthless.

Speaking of bosses, I performed a babality on Goro and it was cute. Also, I performed Scorpion's Klassic fatality, Toasty. However, I did not have his Klassic costume, so I think there is a glitch with my game.

I fully agree! with you! And yes, you fight against him in story mode.

And I've always wanted to watch Oz, but I've only seen the nude clips with Christopher Meloni. <---- no complaining there though. ;)
But yes, his ass is amazing. I have yet to find the show on DVD, though D:

Ah, I see, it's definitely time for me to use different characters.

Very true. My main problem is I forget to block -- not just with Shao Kahn but in every match -- so when he counter attacks it's hard to recovery and before you know it the match is over. I'm too use to SF's method of blocking by just having to press back. I believe this is the first MK game that I have played since MK4 so I am more then a little rusty but am getting better at it.

Jonny Cage's babality is probably my favorite one, it made me laugh and it's cute. Even as a baby he's a cocky one.

I usually see all six seasons at Best Buy.

I'm enjoying the story mode a lot more then I thought I would, granted very predicable so far but I am enjoying getting a feel of other characters along with background information.

And also, can anyone help me with performing the fatalities? I have the Strategy Guide, with all the fatalities, but when I try to perform them, it doesn't work. Help?

I don't know if you need help with this or not, but one problem I was having with my strategy guide was reading the button/number configurations, once I figured that out it was easy. My problem I'm having is performing the babalities, what is jumping distance?

Jumping Distance=Stand next to the opponent, then jump back once.
