Yeah, DC's got too clean an image to the average Joe to pull of incredible violence like you might see int he comics and that's fitting for a Mortal Kombat team-up. That's too bad, seeing as it might have been almost as well done as Marvel Vs. Capcom. (But I didn't really believe it.)
It's not even that per se, it's just that MK is a very violent media, so you have to be willing to have your characters be as violent and screw the M rating if you want it to be successful. Those "fatalities" and "brutalities" were just a sad joke...
has anyone read a DC comic recently, other then the DC Kids titles there pretty gorry and violent, I dont get why the game is the way it is
Okay as a guy who keeps his ear to the ground regarding all video gaming news here's why MK vs DC got a T rating.

2. DC only agreed to allowing it's characters in the game as long as the game got a T rating. It did not want the game released as M rated game.
3. DC major characters are heroes and heroes dont kill people. DC was demanding on that point too.
