most touching gay movie

As per recommendation from this thread, I was able to check out Shelter.
Really a great coming-of-age movie. I really felt I identified with the main character, and the acting was great all around. Actually for the past week or so, I've been pretty down in the dumps, but this movie really helped lift my spirits. In fact, it really got me thinking about coming out to my own family and friends. I'm not one who will re-watch a movie, but to me, this is a keeper. I might even find it on DVD.
I mean, I don't really know anything about gay movies (aside from Brokeback), so I'm kind of thrilled that I was able to watch this one. Further research let me know that not all movies are as tastefully done. Haha, i guess they can't all be winners.

Another great gay movie about coming out is "Latter Days." You should check it out as well. I'm sure you'll enjoy the movie.

I'm probably going to get booed out this thread....but

I'll say "Philadelphia". Even though it's a mainstream "gay" movie and Antonia Banderas and Tom Hanks don't kiss....I remember bawling in the movie theatre. I also remember walking out of the show and no one was saying a word to each other. You know it's a powerful movie if it's still effecting you in the parking lot.

Two come to mind that are outstanding. Latter Days and Its My Party~
The cast of Its my Party is just so perfect, I cry every time i see it

EVERYONE needs to watch SHELTER....... One of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen. Honestly, SHELTER is up there with Brokeback Mountain and Latter Days. The two main characters, Shawn and Zack, are just amazing. Eeveryone must watch it.

Like people before me have said:

Shelter, it's awsome movie and is #1 now on my movie list. Shelter is one of those movies that you can watch over and over agin and it won't get boring. Alot of people can relate to this movie because you can see yourself in Zack's or Shaun's shoes.

Another movie which is my favs is East Side Story.

I agree.

With many recommendations I decided to check it out, and I'm glad I did.
A great movie. Very well acted by Trevor Wright (Zach).

I will check out a few of the others listed in this thread.

Trick. But only because the two lead actors were so good in their roles.

My favorites are:

Latter Days

Rock Haven

Food of Love

Shelter

Summer Storm

Definitely Shelter hands down, I can't think of any other that comes close.

Shelter (of course)
Brokeback Mountain
Latter Days (Sandvoss was fantastic in it)

And this movie's not really a "gay" movie, since it merely contains a few gay/bicurious characters and the main focus of the plot isn't on romance, but The History Boys was great. It's an ensemble piece about eight English school boys trying to get into college and learning from three eccentric teachers. It has a good life lesson, and it'll teach you to look at the world in a different way. The ending's also bittersweet, but satisfying. It's also extremely funny and has some pretty hot people in it...

In terms of tears shed:
Bent

In terms of touched me the most:
Latter Days

In terms of my favourite:
Beautiful Thing

Hard. Okay so it ain't touching at all. In fact it's a despicable semi-porno rape film. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. But I did manage to watch it.
