No they do not. This is a misconception to those who don't know very much about other religions. The majority of Pagan religions have no problem with women or gays. Now while sexism and homophobia may exist in these cultures it is more so cultural as the majority of Pagan religions are quite egalitarian.

Spineless liberal politically correct governments in Europe often have stricter immigration controls then America. Take Italy and Spain who are constantly turning back people. And Spain has been doing it for years (before Rajoy took over). Muslims have a right to exist and a majority of them don't believe in Sharia law. Those are just extreme parts of the religion.

While I don't agree with Islam on a variety of things... Christianity isn't any better.

Except that in Europe because of uncontrolled Islamic immigration no go zones have arose in Europe where Muslims basically rule under Islamic law. They basically have their own miniature Islamic countries there. They even throw rocks and attack law enforcement and emergency vehicles. They have signs saying that it is a gay free zone and attack unveiled women, gays and disbelievers there.

As for Christianity while I agree that Christianity is a bad religion. Christianity has less radical rules then Islam.

It must be noted significant scientific and medical discoveries came from the Islamic world... but they have fallen behind...

Mariatenebre I see that you are transgender, do you know that Shi'a Islam is the only religion which legally allows sex-change. Iran my home country ranks second behind thailand in sex change operations.

Yes, we have laws against public sex. The world portrays us to be barbaric when in fact we are a modest country. Living in Iran I personally know that you can do anything you want in your own home.

But Islamically rape is a severe crime, whether gay or straight. Recently a group of gays were severely punished because they raped a young boy, but the western propaganda media, such as FOX News reported that gays were being punished just because they were gay. This is totally untrue.

When I lived and studied Islam in iran I was openly gay.

It is no Utopia, there are problems. But we as gays must stop getting our facts from FOX News, because they themselves are not only anti-Islam but also anti-Gay!

Your first assertion is bullshit. There are many religions which allow sex changes and in fact pretty much all Pagan religions have no problem with LGBT people

Next gays are being killed in Iran all of the time. There were teen boys killed for having sex with each other as well as many horror stories of gays being killed there.

As for being openly gay in Iran, I have to call bullshit on that one as this is completely impossible. Iran has a zero tolerance policy on homosexuals as countless gays there attest. This truly makes you seem nothing more then an Iranian propagandist.

Next I do not get my facts from Fox News I get them from a wide variety of sources and all show that Iran is vehemently anti gay.

Pew research did a recent poll in a number of Islamic countries and found that a clear majority of Muslims believe that a Muslim who converts to another religion should be put to death. In Pakistan, 75% believed that. Apparantly Mohammud taught it.
If Muslims ever wonder why others believe Islam is a false religion which does not deserve our respect, they should remember that. Mohammud himself led armies and killed people who did not accept his new religion, included hundreds of Jews in Medina. How can that be good?

Nice to have you here, Kamilabbas. I've been disappointed over the years by the antipathy many JUBbers have shown to muslim members. Unfortunately, it seems that some of us here are mostly interested in stereotypes, simplifications and even slander more than the truth. It's good of you to offer your firsthand perspective.

When I've chatted with some men from muslim countries in the past, the question of being gay versus merely engaging in homosexual sex has come up. That is, some have suggested that sexual relations with other men are compatible with their identity, more than being gay is compatible with their identity. Is that a distinction that came up for you or your friends in Iran?
