Silentalk, the thing to remember is this: The possible outcome ranges from complete acceptance (best case scenario) to he's freaked out enough to call security and try to get a restraining order (worst case scenario). If you can live with the worst case scenario, if it happens, then go for it. More than likely his response will be somewhere in between. He may decide he wants to get to know you and see where that leads, he may not.
Only you can really tell if you would be capable of handling total rejection, so only you can say if the risk is worth the attempt. If you know you will not be able to handle the rejection should that be his reaction, and it very well could be, then maybe its best to leave it as a fantasy and search for someone closer to home. If rejection wont be the end of your world (or even a major earthquake in it) then give it a go. Just please take the time to consider, and be honest with yourself about, the potential harm of the outcome.
