  • Hi Guest - Did you know?

My life is about to change . . . big time

Thank you Dominus and Unloadonme for your input. I appreciate it very much. I haven't done research into insomnia because I just thought there wouldnt be any answers but I should probably look. I know about having a 'clean environment' where you sleep. Not looking at blue screens an hour before sleeping, etc.

There are other things you can do, although not everything affects everyone in the same way. One of the most common is to avoid caffeine in the evening. Some foods can also keep you awake. Also try to make sure you're actually tired when you go to bed, so get up at a reasonable time in the morning, try to be physically active (even if you're not working you could go for a walk, dig the garden, wash the car, join a gym, anything really) and don't nap during the day. You might not find an outright cure for your insomnia, but you'll probably find things which help.

As Paul said, it's not just caffeine. Lots of people are sensitive to certain spices, so eating them might affect you similarly.

Just read around on the web and see what other people report, although take it all with a grain of salt, as lots of people are totally bonkers when imputing illness sources.

I moved Nov 29th. I didnt have tv / phone / internet until today. The mover broke Spike's cat tree but I have bought him another one. He said it was already broken but if you were a mover, wouldnt you tell the owner "this is broken. I dont want you to think it was broken during the move".

Spike is happy with a new place to run around in.
One thing I just realized. Having hard surface (not absorbing) floors would sure be easier for us cat owners to clean. Although you would need something to catch the litter stuck to the cat(s) feet as they get out of the box and walk (or jump) and couple of steps.

I have one of the litter pads that help get litter off their feet.

Spike has two cat trees. I was able to re-configure the broken cat tree. He loves running around this place.

Personally, I prefer carpet but, oh well.

Its been 'a minute' to unpack and organise my place. Im very lucky and thankful. It's past Feb 1st and I could have been homeless if my sister hadn't helped me.

I still have to do my bedroom . . . .

I dont know why the photos are rotated because it isnt rotated on my computer
