  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

My Mayor smokes crack............does yours.

^ He absolutely thinks this.

And if it is a three or four way race...he has a really good chance of winning again with the people of Etobicoke and Scarborough voting to prevent the 'elites' from having control of City Hall.

Rob Ford keeps talking about the next election....does he think he would be re-elected?

He's aiming high my friend. He thinks one day he will Prime Minister.

But considering the twat we have there now who knows.

Ford's 'Come-To-Jesus' moment:

In an interview with CBC News on Monday, Toronto Mayor Rob Ford said he's had a kind of "come-to-Jesus" moment and said he's "finished" with alcohol and doesn't do drugs.

Ford made the comments in an interview with CBC News chief correspondent Peter Mansbridge shortly after council voted overwhelmingly to slash his office budget and strip him of powers in the wake of a drug-use scandal.

The interview, done with his brother Coun. Doug Ford at his side, capped a frantic few weeks for Toronto's mayor, who two weeks earlier admitted to using crack cocaine while in office.

Ford told Mansbridge he used crack "about a year ago" and said he hasn't used the drug since. Ford also said he hasn't consumed alcohol for three weeks and plans to never drink again.

"There's a lot of people who have done what I've done," Ford told Mansbridge. "I’m a human being, Peter."

"Elites"....does that mean non-crackheads?

What I find weirdest is when you look at the totality of it, the crack, booze, drunken driving, hookers, pussy eating talk, and the constant revelation of lies....and he says he hasn't done anything, everyone else hasn't done. :bartshock
Either he's delusional...or you Canadians are much more interesting than I had thought. Could be both I guess.
I'm seriously contemplating a trip to Toronto to see this moment in history first hand.

Most Canadians certainly do not use crack nor do we abuse other hard drugs.. We DO however have the highest rate of marijuana use in the world across all age groups (I believe). I blame that on long cold winters where you don't want to go outside though. You gotta make the winter a little more bearable :P.

Ford is clueless. I can't think of one thing he's done since being mayor that I truly agreed with.

The Mayor of Toronto attacking the people he was elected to represent

Either he's delusional...or you Canadians are much more interesting than I had thought.

He's delusional, and we're quietly interesting. We have idiots like this guy who make spectacles of themselves, but they rarely, if ever, remain in the spotlight for years at a time, and even more rarely ever go international.

Ford has delusions of entitlement. As mayor, he feels he is exempt from 'normal people' laws. He feels he can drive drunk. He feels he can drive and talk on his cell phone. He feels he can drive and read a newspaper. He feels he can do drugs without repercussions. He feels he can throw parties at City Hall at the expense of the tax payers. He feels he can take city buses off their routes, abandon the riders, and order the buses to go pick up his football team. He feels he can rant and dance about and threaten to kill someone. He feels he can be in a drunken stupor in public gatherings. He feels the police should bow to him and jump into action whenever he calls because he's "Rob Fuckin' Ford, the fuckin' mayor!"

He feels he can do anything any other Torontonians who break the law can do with impunity. He is, after all, "just a human being" who can do whatever the hell he wants.

But he certainly isn't representative of average Canadians. He is, in fact, a shameful disgrace.

True Hizzonner is a disgrace, and may be an ineffective mayor, but how can anything get done with a Council that looks the size of the UN General Assembly. Do you have one councilor for every block or square mile?

As a curiosity, 3 non-Canadian teachers on Jeopardy! last night didn't know who the guy on the left is. Do you?

Stephen Harper....Do I win a prize?

I just read a headline "Rob Ford has admitted he's overweight, but nothing else.." I for one am grateful for this revelation.... I had been labouring under the impression that he was a swim suit model in his spare time, you know, when he's not smoking crack and eating pussy.

Pretty Pete, I love the cat meme.

There was a time in American history (at least) where such politicians were actually revered. I'm thinking back in the Tammany Hall days of New York (to wit, most of American history) and places like Chicago. But it seems there's no home for Mayor Ford in 2013. A pity, as he seems to be amazingly good in the role. :)

...

No cigar. I bespied the councilors were sitting in front of screens at their official UN curved floor seating. I did watch it live on the NBC interwebz.

Mental hospitals have and need wards. Toronto, apparently.

Oh, there's a home for him. Just not in Canadian politics. Canadian politicians have resigned for far less. I can't think of anyone who has got away with such behaviour and so many lies and so much scandal as Ford, and I've never known a bigger bully (except, perhaps, for his brother).

well they had a weeks long fight over stores charging 5 cents for plastic grocery bags

woo hoo that was one of the great achievements of Rob Ford Reign.

Toronto has 44 wards and 1 councillor for each ward. Doug Ford is councillor for Ward 2:
